Is it way TOO quiet these days? Where are the LIVES?

@Bo McCoy When are you going live again?

@Alice Hlidkova messaged me this morning asking some questions about framework for creating posts - I found it synchronous as I was JUST looking at emails from best sellers over on Substack and considering HOW they put their posts together. Don't you love when the Universe sends you messages like that? Confirmation to keep looking in that direction... And one thing is already becoming very clear: A post that converts isn’t just a well-written post. It’s a piece of the client journey. Before you worry about hooks, headlines, CTAs, or whether your post is “good enough,” ask: Where is this reader right now - and where do I want to help them go next? The strongest posts I’m looking at aren’t simply dumping information. They create movement. They help the reader recognize themselves in a problem or desire. They create a shift in how the reader sees that problem. They give the reader a reason to trust the person writing. And then they offer a logical next step. That next step might be subscribing. It might be commenting. It might be downloading something. It might be becoming a paid subscriber. It might be working with you. But the invitation makes sense because the POST has already helped move the reader toward it. That’s the piece I think we miss when we start with: “What should I write about today?” A better question might be: “What does my reader need to see, understand, believe, or do next?” Then write the post that helps them get there. I’m going to keep digging into these best-seller emails and pulling apart what they’re doing because I think there’s a really useful framework emerging here. I'll bring more as I get it and it will probably be a mastermind or even a standalone workshop - I'm leaning toward the workshop Going through the 9 Day Challenge will help you build a firm foundation - Start here #Welcome to the 9-Day Substack Momentum Challenge!

I definitely need to get out more posts than I do - time to work on that! https://substack.com/@tracynicholas/note/c-322305969
🗣️💬Comments - Who Knew??
Publishing helps people find you. Genuine conversations give them a reason to remember you. ✨ You’re publishing on Substack. Maybe you’re writing articles, posting Notes and sharing your ideas consistently. You’re doing what you thought you were supposed to do. But your reach still isn’t growing as quickly as you hoped. Here’s the piece many people miss: Substack isn’t simply a publishing platform. It’s a relationship platform. 🤝 Publishing gives people something to discover. Commenting helps you become part of the conversation. And that conversation is often where growth begins. 🌱 📝 Posting Notes is only half the strategy I recommend posting Notes every day. If you can post three times a day without making it feel like a full-time job, even better. You don’t have to sit in front of Substack all day to do that. Use the Notes Creation Engine #🤖 Create Better Notes w/the Notes Creation Engine to turn your existing ideas, articles, podcast episodes and stories into several Notes. Then schedule them so they appear throughout the day. ⏰ Your three Notes might include: 1. 💡 A short idea, observation or belief 2. 📖 A story or lesson from your own experience 3. ❓ A question or invitation that encourages conversation 4. This keeps you visible without requiring you to create everything in real time. Substack has reported that writers and creators who published at least three thoughtful Notes during the week they launched gained 50 percent more total subscribers than those who didn’t. That doesn’t mean three Notes a week or three Notes a day is a magic formula. It does show that participating in Notes can contribute to discovery and subscriber growth. But publishing your Notes and disappearing is not enough. The part that makes this work is what happens next. 💬 Comments are where visibility becomes relationship Think about how you would respond if someone shared an interesting statement or personal story while you were having coffee together. ☕

I am doing 3+ notes a day, but I do need to get better at commenting https://substack.com/profile/100652996-tracy-nicholas/note/c-314813293

Please give me a minute... Gotta gather my brains back up - @Bo McCoy blew my mind yesterday in the Mastermind as he explained how to make an extension using Chatgpt and Claude. And the extension part was just the beginning! He also shared about dashboards and agents and then my mind was off to the races about possibilities. If you missed it, you can still catch it here: https://youtu.be/2wxeeE8p0lI 🌿🎈☘️😎☘️🌿 About the Lives thing - I'll create a category for Lives - It'll be called EVENTS and you can share your links to Substack lives there but also remember to share them here - in the notes boost thread too. Make sure you do more than just dropped the link - tease us a bit and give us dates and times - it's okay to put in the same link in a few days in a row - We're all busy and if we have notice it's easier to get things scheduled. 🌿🎈☘️😎☘️🌿 Speaking about lives - They are a simple way to grow on Substack because they get pushed out to your audiences. Here's a quick overview: 🎥 LET’S TALK ABOUT GOING LIVE ON SUBSTACK Have you tried it yet - or does the thought make you a little nervous? Substack Live lets you connect with your audience in real time without sending people to another platform. Why go live? ✨ Build trust faster by letting people experience the real you ✨ Answer questions and learn what your audience needs ✨ Invite another creator and introduce each other to new audiences ✨ Offer public sessions, subscriber-only events, or paid-member experiences ✨ Turn the recording into a post for people who couldn’t attend live And you don’t need a fancy production. HOW TO GO LIVE: 📱 From the Substack app: 1. Tap the orange + button 2. Choose Live 3. Add a clear title 4. Choose who can watch: everyone, subscribers, or paid subscribers 5. Go live immediately or schedule it for later 💻 From your computer: (and this is a fairly recent thing we're able to do - @Deborah Oppenehim remember last year we had to go live with our phones?)

🔑💜🌿SUBSTACK NOTES BOOST 8/6/2026
This week is all about getting traction with our Skool communities - which may sound odd considering this is mainly a Substack Community - but in my world view this is how I see the process working - and all the pieces need to be optimized for the system to work: Substack - the hub where you post your long form content Socials & Youtube - where you are syndicating the content from Substack to Skool - where you deliver your offers & form community Everything needs to point to the place where people can give you money ultimately. If you don't have a Skool community (totally fine and I didn't while still monetizing Substack in the beginning) Then you simply point everyone back to Substack. Today's monetize you mission mastermind is happening at a special time today to make it easier for those down under to join us and because @John Missikos is going to be our featured guest today. He has created a post here that will help him address the finding the bottlenecks to MRR flow (monthly recurring revenue). 4:30 mtn here: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82173053137?pwd=LvWmj0jftv7dmZv7xB0lKcaarU1YHs.1&jst=2 On Tuesday we did the Skool Community Profit Path Finder workshop with Adam McCollough which should have given you a step-by-step outline of what to do next - This mastermind will help you with the tools to make sure you have the gaps closed where leaks can occur as you implement the steps outlined for you with the Profit Path Finder Tool Of course, you're going to want to make sure your Substack is optimized by going through the Substack Setup Intensive which we will be running again on the 18th of August #🎯START HERE
