3 hours till we light things up!
However you're spending today, I'm glad you're here for The Flame Keeper. Drop a 🔥 if you're joining us today. This is for the ones who hold the light for everyone else [ sharp-minded, self-aware, always quietly working ] and rarely get to put it down. Today, that's exactly what we practice: permission to be held instead of holding. If today isn't your day, that's alright too. There will be more doors. But I wanted today to be seen and named.

What does "tired" actually feel like in your body?
We use the word "tired" like it's one thing. But there are so many different variations of exhaustion, and your body knows exactly which one you're in, even when your mind doesn't. When you're "tired," it usually feels like:

Living with polycythemia vera my tired is severe fatigue--like trying to walk through mud up to one's neck. Heaviness for sure describes it like being held down with fatigue. However, prior to having polycythemia vera-my tired often was anxious and restless. I tend to be an anxious personality type so that nervous energy yet so tiring I'm very familiar with. It was this anxious energy that lead me to buddhism through learning to mediate to deal with the "monkey mind". then along came yoga and now yoga Nidra.
Oh right! The other thing!
So I said I had two things to share with you the other day... The second thing was this.... with Scorpio Full Moon coming in, I have been feeling... how do i say this!? A Sacred Rage... stirring. One of my friends and mentors said something along the lines of... 'rage is what shows up when your body is done negotiating your boundaries' And I feel that on a global level many of us are feeling is undercurrent of rage. I have done a lot of work over the years of feeling into what is my energy and what is the collective energy and I knew that the level of rage that has been surfacing has not been solely mine... So I am recording a Sacred Rage Yoga Nidra today I feel nervous sharing this which means, in my body... it needs to be said. I am wondering... am I the only one who feels as though they want to release this rage-y energy from their body? in a healthy way!?

an African ritual for the full moon is to talk to the moon. Tell the moon your troubles/rage/injustices and let the moon take it. I liken it to releasing or banishing with the full moon as the moon enters its waning phase our troubles wane along with the moon. There is so much to be enraged about in our world. I find that not listening to the news helps greatly. Believe me unfortunately news still creeps in you will not be missing anything. Personally I'm struggling with health insurance yet again this year. I just walked back into my house from talking to the moon this morning. That and yoga, or other physical exercise, Nidra and other meditation are what I can do for my personal grief. I feel like most of the rage I feel is grief and fear for myself and for the suffering occurring in the world.

We made it to the end of March... 🦁🐑 At the start of the month, I shared a little agricultural folklore and asked what kind of March we were stepping into. (Read Post) Now I'm curious... How did it feel for YOU? Drop your answer below! And if you want the full context, check out the original post. Not talking about the weather... talking about what moved through you this month. 🌱

This month unfolded for me as Lamb --lots of illness unfortunately and here in AZ temps are already hitting 100 F (not sure what that is in C but HOT) So lots of staying in with blinds closed against the sun,(in AZ its kind of like the seasons are reversed-out and about in winter and inside with A/C in Summer) resting and taking care of myself. At the very end of the month (yesterday) I've applied and was accepted for a nicer apartment in my same building so I'm moving yet again. Feeling strong enough to get slowly back to my yoga practice. Baby steps there. Tax time in US so doing lots of that Virgo thing getting things in order. Things are moving again-springing forward. 🦁
