Hi all! I’m Tori Prophet.👋🏾 - What I do: I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist in Texas. I also support Black women moving and living abroad with the emotional side of creating a new life, and I lead a leadership lab for therapists, healers, and coaches here on Skool called The Sovereign CEO. - What I’m working on: I’m growing my community for Black women abroad (on Skool also, called UNBOUND) who are ready to release survival patterns like over-functioning, hyper-independence, overthinking, and self-abandonment, so they can enjoy the lives they moved to create. I'm doing this because I noticed a gap in mental health care that Black women abroad were falling into. - How you can support me: I would love it if you could introduce me to Black women moving or living abroad, or people who serve this community. I’d love opportunities for guest conversations and collaborations around the emotional realities of life abroad. - Also, I'm planning a US trip BY MYSELF this quarter and then an international house-sitting trip next quarter with my daughters who are 21 and 17. I'd love some help narrowing down locations and accountability for the eleventy-billion details that need planning. - My favorite place to reset: The beach is my #1 bae 😍, but anywhere quiet with time outdoors and very little on the agenda works for me—right now that's my back patio and pool. Give me room to wander, read, and enjoy a day without needing to accomplish anything. @Crystal Harris Thank you for creating this space! I really do need a sabbatical, and I’m ready to give that more attention than “one of these days.” I spend a lot of time supporting other women in making room for themselves. I’m glad to be somewhere I can receive some support in doing the same. 💛
