I’m proud of the nails I did today. Starting off simple. Blue set, natural nails with acrylic overlay with simple art. Red set, full coverage tips.

What product have yall found that works best to keep full coverage tips on? Some clients want the full coverage tips with no acrylic overlay
Rule Revision! 📖
Hi everyone! Happy Monday 🥳 When I first started this community, I had made the decision for it to be a "promo" free space, and as such, I created the blanket rule of not mentioning specific brands. My thinking behind this was that the free groups we can access online quickly turn into spaces filled with bots and members getting annoyed by being spammed with "discount codes" and affiliate links when looking for honest feedback about products. I also didn't want product shaming and defensiveness to happen, and for the main focus to be on technique, skills, and advice - regardless of labels and "brand names" I wanted this to be a space where we could escape that, so I even asked educators not to mention the brands they use in classes, just so we can avoid opening that backdoor. HOWEVER! I do understand that using the right products is such a vital part of the success of our careers and businesses. And as time goes on, more and more research and testing is being done, and there definitely are products out there that nail techs should not be using in a professional setting (or even beginners on themselves, to be honest). I've had thoughts about creating a brand "blacklist" to help steer beginners away from the dangerous stuff as early as possible, but this could turn into quite a heated topic if we're not mindful. So, I'm not sure about how to approach it yet. But I would like us to open up a discussion about this and to get your feedback on how you want to approach the topic of "product suggestions". Do you agree with my thinking process? Do you think we should be doing things differently, and should we be speaking more openly about the brands being used, and why? Do you have a completely different idea? There are no wrong answers here; I genuinely want to hear your thoughts and expectations for this community. At the end of the day, it isn't my community; it's OUR community as an entire industry 🫶

I think it would be great to have an “avoid” list. Maybe not by product name, but ingredients. That might be a thin line also. Because in the US MMA is illegal to use, but may not be in other countries

Help
I have a client with very flat nail beds. I’ve tried acrylic, builder gel, tips, full coverage tips. We can’t get anything to stay. Does anyone have any advice?

I’ve been a nail tech for 6 years. I know the basics. I’m just not very creative. I would love to learn new techniques
