2026 USPS Increase
Just saw the announcement that USPS ground advantage is going up 8% for 2026. That is on top of roughly 7% that took effect mid year 2025. So with shipping going up 15% in less than a year, seems like it's time to evaluate options. Would be easy if there was a way to just say increase every listing X% without having to touch every ebay listing. I've always been the person who chimes in for free shipping as I think it appeals to more buyers. But combine increased shipping with running minimal sales even at 5% discount, that starts to eat into profits. I see why my eBay report shows total sales pretty flat compared to last year but net sales is down more which I have to think is largely due to increases in shipping labels. I'll post to the group, what are your plans for 2026 in regards to shipping, while still also trying to follow market pricing. Meaning, you can't sell for 15% more than everyone else if others are charging less.
Area 5 for Improvement -Taking Down Items and Re-listing Them
This is a controversial area for many on eBay. But I was given specific direction and reasoning by this eBay employee. He stated that items begin to go stale after only 90 days. He hinted that items appear dormant after 180 days. The only way to combat this is to end the item, REWORK the item and then list it again. The key is to REWORK the item before listing it again. Do NOT simply end and re-list. Use AI to rework the title and description as well as make changes to the Item Specifics and price. Then list the item again. This was something that my son and I were already doing and have been seeing results. We are now more aggressive with the practice by ending items quicker than before. This is now something we do as part of our daily routine. Items no longer become stale as we rework them before they are 180 days old.

I do the same thing on a regular basis. There are times that a relisted items sells within an hour.
Where did everyone go!
Haven’t seen much action on here from our old group of regular participants. Hoping everyone is just busy with 4th quarter sales. Please chime in with how your 4th quarter is going. I’ve seen a slight uptick in sales.

Would agree it got quite even before Q4. I don’t check in as much. The site was off for awhile as well. Might be part of it.
Lowball offers…
If I could afford to do it, I’d be tempted to start an experiment where all my listing prices begin at twice the amount just so all my 50%ers would give an acceptable offer. They can think they are getting a steal while I still make a good profit. It’s a win win! 😂

@Mark Wolf so how low of an offer do you take? Meaning what profit margin will you accept? I have offers off and people still message me stupid low stuff and I never respond or just say no.

@Mark Wolf dang that’s low.
This has been the easiest AI workflow
Hey everyone! 👋 Just dropped a recent video on my YouTube channel that I had to share with this amazing community! 🔥 I analyzed 5,446 of my eBay sales to figure out exactly which brands are making me money vs. the ones that are straight-up losing me cash. 📊💰 Quick highlights from what I discovered: 🚫 AVOID these brands completely: - Chaps, Dickies, IZOD, Old Navy, Gap 😱 ✅ FOCUS on these winners: - Lululemon: $16.89 avg profit per item 💪 - Judy Blue: $31.38 avg profit per item 🔥 - Nike: Reliable volume with good margins 👟 ⚠️ Be selective with: Wrangler, Lee, Columbia, Carhartt (they CAN work but pick carefully) The best part? I show you exactly how to do this analysis yourself using AI tools - no guessing anymore! 🤖 This data-driven approach is exactly what's helped us hit almost $1M in sales since July. 📈 What brands have been your biggest winners and losers? Let's compare notes in the comments! 💬⬇️ Hope this helps someone avoid the money pits I fell into! 🙌

I think people get scared by the word AI. Also really believe it’s being over used as a term. A lot of AI is just reporting but it’s called AI because companies need to say it on their earnings calls 21 times.
