More than once...
#Mistake 1: Lack of Self-Belief Not only am I lacking it, but I invited people to work with me, shared my plans and ideas, and ended up alone while the other person, who felt quite confident, started his business without me...

@Adriana Elizabeth Lomba dos Santos I hope things are improving for you in that department. I think you can count on plenty of encouragement and support here. You can do this!
Procrastination...
#How we Overcame Self Doubt so many courses I have bought (but haven't finished)... and now I know it was just because of my fear to do what was important...

@Adriana Elizabeth Lomba dos Santos Your comment about the unfinished courses sure hits home with me. So many! I do think I have learned something from each of them, but not finishing them is certainly less than ideal.😩
Niche
#Reflection Lately, I have asked my students to answer a Needs Analysis form to have a better idea of my audience at the moment. And, I got to the conclusion: Level - beginners to Advanced One-on-one or small groups online General English and Specific purposes (mainly tests prep) Focus mainly on speaking tasks Not using a specific coursebook

That is a good way to get some feedback. Students probably feel less pressure that way. Do the results match what you expected?
Overwhelming!
#Our Struggle & LYE Backstory The three main problems you've presented really resonate with me. Those were some of the reasons I've decided to start my own business. But, I'd say that I mainly started my business, as a favor. I started teaching friends, charging really low for the lessons. However, it has become a full time thing, and now, I'm a little lost in the midst of the amount of things that envolves having my own business. So, I'm overwhelmed!

It sounds like you have proven or tested part of your business model and now you need to take it to a larger audience and charge more.
Making $1 in the next 7 days
#Core task 1 Since I don't have an audience to sell to yet, I'm thinking of something for my current students. It could be a sort of challenge of asynchronous tasks for the upcoming vacation period. Probably something that prioritizes oral production and only takes them a few minutes a day (with extension options for those who want more).

@Bianca González The fact that you loved the process and learned some things is huge. So cool to hear. The next iteration will be even better and have a much better chance of getting traction.

Always trying to learn, grow, evolve (?)… One day hope to put it all together and be a truly location agnostic solopreneur.
