Acid testing kit
Anyone have a good resource of where to find a good acid testing kit/solutions?? I’m skeptical as the last couple I’ve got from Azn have either been bad or questionable.. thank you friends 😎

@Jen Car I use this one also. It’s been great. I added a sterling test acid to my kit. I like the readings vs using the 18k to test.

@Jen Car I’ll try the white stone - thanks for the tip!

I asked AI to read the book for me, summarize and create checklists to identify on the run. It’s a great resource.

Can anyone help me identify this brooch? I’ve hunted online for hours, with no luck finding this exact brooch. Please???

Beautiful! Great design. Can’t help though. 😆
Sourced today with the Pawn Broker.
Did some sourcing today with the pawn broker. I took my advice from Brad with me. I felt completely confident. It's awesome having these new tools in my toolbox. I didn't let the guy bully me. Although had I not spoken up right away, I think he would have tried. We got a conference room at the library. Spread all of the jewelry out and I was able to go through it and pick out what I wanted. I got about 30 pounds. This is about 2/3 of it I paid about $10 a pound which I think is pretty fair considering what I got. I have paid $10 a pound from Shop Goodwill and gotten almost nothing but garbage. There was not a lot of super vintage in there but I probably got 50 nice costume rings I got a few nice vintage brooches, some screw back and about 20 pair of clip on Monet earrings but not as much Vintage as I would have liked. This lot was more contemporary but, I did get some good signed pieces, some sterling, crazy cool bone necklaces, I even found a tiny 10k antique locket in there.
Sourced today with the Pawn Broker.

Does anyone else despise photographing jewelry? So tedious! I’m having issues with my jewelry model. She’s very moody and is very particular about what she will wear. She’s not a fan of Victorian and thinks Hattie is overrated. Bracelets never seem to fit right either. Ugh
