Simple goals for me today are: - High work rate in transition (offence & defence) + up forward as a scoring option - Apply relentless pressure - Be loud af! 🗣️
Games approaching? Use this to play well every time 🥇
With games around the corner for the winter sporting season, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of playing again after a long off and pre season. Before you know it, you'll be at round 5 and its 1/4 of the way through the season. With sport being so complex, we need to find ways to simplify as much as possible. Here's how you can start dominating from praccy games: 1. Get really clear on your role on game day (this will be based on your position) 2. Pick 1-3 SIMPLE goals relevant to this position & your role in the team (e.g. bring energy to every contest). They must be things you can mostly control & are not mostly influenced by external factors. 3. Before the game, visualise yourself doing these goals really well. Then visualise yourself messing them up but making amends. 4. Grade your performance of the goals out of 10 and refine them every game until you find the clear focuses for every game This helps to ground you and make something so chaotic & uncontrollable, seem a little more manageable. Drop your goals below 👇

1: Consistent work rate around the ground 2: Applying relentless pressure on defence 3: Smile (have fun) Everything else regarding skill level & execution should stem off the back of these areas as I know I put in continuous effort and dedication into my skills. Thoughts?
Mindset Monday
Why can we never dream anymore? When we have a wild dream, the world tells us to quieten the noise - "it's not realistic". We're constrained by what other people say we can do and what they say is possible. Fuck that. Use your imagination. Dare to dream. And have the courage to chase it. ✍️ What is your dream that sounds wild to say out loud? Put yours below For me, I will build the best 1:1 athletic coaching service available.

🧠 Mindset Mondays (on a Tuesday)
Guys, I'm going to be giving you some mindset help every week to help you develop the most under rated and under developed aspect of being an athlete - your mindset. If there is anything in particular you want to learn about or struggle with, please comment below and I'll answer it! Today's short thought to kick off: A failure is actually a learning. You don't learn from winning. If you were 1000 failures from achieving your dreams, how fast would you fail? ✍️ What was the most recent thing you learned from losing or failing in your sport?

Losing is an another form of feedback. Take away what you believe is required to be better both individually and collectively (primarily if you’re in a team sport) and create a plan of action.

Name: - Tom Sport: - Aussie Rules Biggest challenge: - Maintaining the ability to be diligent & consistent with my mental health when things go good or bad (removal of emotion from outcome) - something I’m taking action daily to improve and will continue to do. Area of improvement this season: - Extending on the above point, being consistent with my role on field regardless where I play (position) and/ or the outcome of the game itself.
