📚 Is Your Amazon Author Page Optimized?
You spent all that time writing, publishing, and marketing your book, but have you taken the time to optimize your Amazon Author Page? One thing I see authors overlook is 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹, which is a completely FREE tool that allows you to create your own author profile on Amazon. Think about it. Someone discovers your book, gets curious about who wrote it, and clicks on your author name. What are they going to find? A professional-looking author page that builds credibility and showcases your books? Or an incomplete profile with little information? 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝟱 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲! 👇 ✅ 𝟭. 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗼 Your author bio is an opportunity to establish credibility and connect with potential readers. Don't just list your accomplishments. Explain who you are, what you write about, and why readers should trust you. For nonfiction authors, highlight your experience, expertise, or personal connection to your subject. For fiction authors, introduce your writing style, genres, and what readers can expect from your stories. ✅ 𝟮. 𝗨𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 📸 Readers want to connect with the person behind the book! You don't need an expensive professional photoshoot, but you should have a clear, high-quality photo that represents your author brand. If you write under a pen name, consider how you want that author identity represented. ✅ 𝟯. 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 This is a BIG one! Your Author Page is an opportunity to cross-promote your books without spending additional money on advertising. If someone discovers one of your books and enjoys it, you want to make it EASY for them to find your other titles. Log into Author Central and make sure all your published books are properly associated with your author profile. Check your Kindle, paperback, and hardcover editions, too. ✅ 𝟰. 𝗔𝗱𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 ⭐ Did you know Amazon Author Central allows you to add editorial reviews to your book listings in the US marketplace?

@Dr. John Elcik He definitely has the CEO mindset and never stops. 🤣🐾 Yes! My plan is to build an entire series around The Adventures of Sampson the Frenchie, and I’ve even developed my own system for keeping the characters consistent throughout the books. It’s been a fun journey seeing this turn into something bigger than I originally imagined. And apparently, Sampson has no plans of slowing down anytime soon! 😂

@Dr. John Elcik when we got him as a puppy I just looked at him and told my wife that he looked like a Sampson. So no funny story behind it. Now he has earn the Nick names Ham Sandwich, Hammy Sammy and when he lays flat out on his belly like Frenchies do, he looks like a potato. 🥔 😂
coloring book question
Hope its ok to ask this here, if not pls let me know. i just published my first coloring book, my friend ordered it and her 12yr old autistic grandchild looked at the pages and got upset saying its ai, thats stealing from artists, she picked out some minor flaws i hadnt seen or anyone checking it, aid that detail in some areas pointed to ai, ..i unpublished it, i'm now having chat go through again and report any findings, but i'm wary of republishing it. i'm assuming most people here are getting chat etc to create the drawings, how do you manage consistency of style (i am using the prompt from coloring bk challenge) and do you redo things with another tool? i struggle with canva so havent done that. i've written 3 books (self written not ai)and dont want this to affect those book sales. ..sorry for the long post but i'm a bit stumped at the moment

To answer your question about character consistency. The easiest way to maintain character consistency is to use a reference image. I just published my third book in the series of The Adventures of Sampson the Frenchie. To keep Sampson consistent in each book I use a reference image for every image I create using ChatGPT. This way it keeps the character consistent across every scene. I also use Claude Code to put the entire book together. It does it's own checks and balances to make sure the book conforms to all Amazon's guidelines. It also checks all the images and activity pages to make sure they are good. It then gives me the pdf file for the interior pages and full cover image. Hope this helps.

@Carolyn Ching you’re welcome. I use Claude for everything. It gives me the full book specs and prompts. I then create the images in chat and upload the images back in Claude and it puts the entire book together and checks it for formatting.
