Yet another inspiring and motivating message from Pastor @Mike Chiles !! Thank you Mike! I had to work on Sunday and it was awesome to not have to miss taking the time to reflect on the many blessing our Lord has bestowed upon us!
What do you want from the field Forman?
Calling all old and new dawgs. What are your expectations ( or demands ) from the trade partner foreman/supers I’m looking for specific personal and planning skills we could train on to elevate the pain on our projects. Exclude , know the plans Know Procore . We all know this area is a common topic.

Being a lean practitioner, I value a foreman that is open to new ideas. I am not saying they cannot bring their "I've been doing it this way for 30 years" (I want their expertise), but they need to be open to eliminating waste, Respect for People, Optimizing the Whole, Sequence & Flow, etc.
Old Dawg Takt Session
This was great! I have also added some slides directly from a Hoots training session that gives clear step-by-step instructions on how to build a Takt Plan. Let's do a follow-up in 60 days so we can do a bit of a show and tell with our progress. Shout out to Tom, Jason and Boone who, to nobody's surprise, had great input and wisdom to impart on the rest of us. Thanks to Denver for initiating this and bringing a real, concrete challenge to the Old Dawgs.

Sorry I could not stay on! Great topic! One piece of advice…the magic is in its simplicity. Do not get it so complicated it just becomes a colorful version of P6.
Takt Contract Language
Old Dawgs! I am in the middle of writing contracts and I am interested on how those of you utilizing Takt refer to schedule and Executive Summaries in the contract. Feels sticky, I almost want to completely get rid of the Executive Summary but I have been in litigation before where it comes up. What language can I use to navigate this and lean more heavily on the Takt Plan contractually?

if I understand your question, here is language I have used in the past… This subcontractor is responsible for completing their tasks in accordance with the TAKT schedule as updated by the project superintendent. The P6 schedule will be updated once a month and will be a reflection of the TAKT schedule.

TAKT is not yet recognized in court for claims. Hence why people still insist on P6.
Hungry for Lean Knowledge
OLD DAWGS! I’ve been in contact with the legends @Adam Hoots and @Mike Chiles recently and they had a great idea: crowd source knowledge from the old dawgs. What I’m looking for specifically are book recs for lean methods or leadership as well. I want to be like a sponge with this stuff. To this point I really only have LinkedIn learning courses under my belt so I’m really trying to expand my horizon and do more than just dip my toes in the water. Send me all the recs you have, thank you in advance!! -Nick Scozzaro

I am a fan of Turn the Ship Around by L. David Marquet. This has helped me greatly when I have had to go in and change the culture of a team that has been failing.
