On Monday, December 1st, we’re kicking off our “Healing With Nature Challenge” - a month-long, Eco-Punk mission to heal your body, the land and the water! … One tiny rebellious act at a time! If you’re late to the party, don’t worry - you can join in the fun at any time during the month of December. The goal: “Practice what we preach!” Small actions beat-out big promises every time. Taking action is the best way to learn and make a real impact while you’re doing it! Whether you’re brand-new or already elbow-deep in plant magic, this challenge is all about getting hands-on, practicing what you’re learning, and showing up in the Eco-Punk Foragers Community with your wins, experiments and dirty-boot selfies. ⭐ How to Participate:⭐ There are 3 ways to participate in the Healing With Nature Challenge. Choose one, two… or go FULL Eco-Punk and do all three! 1️⃣ Heal the Water: Trash Clean-Up Removing litter prevents chemicals, heavy metals, plastics, and micro-pollutants from washing into soil, groundwater, and waterways. Pick up trash on your walks, trails, roadsides, or parks - every little piece counts! Post pictures of the trash you cleared. BONUS points for before AND after photos! 2️⃣ Heal the Land: Remove Invasive Plants Pulling invasives frees up sunlight, nutrients, and space for native plants and wildlife to return. A single invasive plant pulled can help restore an entire micro-ecosystem. Learn to identify one (or more) invasive species in your area, Rip ‘em out and post a picture of what you got. Take the “Forager’s Action Steps” course to learn how to identify invasive plants! BONUS points for tossing some native seeds in the spot where you pulled out the invaders! 3️⃣ Heal Yourself: Make Natural Medicine Making your own medicine empowers you with choices beyond big pharma. When you make your own teas, tinctures, salves, or syrups, you learn what plants can truly do for you - safely, simply, and with confidence. Take the “Making Medicine Course” (launching Dec 1st!) and learn how to make your own medicine. Post photos of what you made & tell us how you’ll use it.
