It wasn’t the book that changed me. As a person with no educational experience writing a complete novel, a fellow writer encouraged me to take a class on how to review/critique. I found the more I critiqued the more I applied those same principles to my writing. As time went by my style of critique garnered a following and I had more requests for critiques. 5 or 6 years ago Willamette Writers put together a critique group. I was one of that first group. There is still two of the original writing. I have joined another mystery group of writers. I’m not a professional but I do pass along what I’ve learned and am still learning. Does that make me a leader?

Second revision
I opened my 2nd revision yesterday and finished it an hour ago. It went easier than I thought. Most changes were grammatical. She added or deleted words here and there. Anything that she questioned I addressed or made the changes. She suggested changes and a few I held firm on. I hope they are acceptable. I told her I’d rather come to a compromise than my having to give up on my concept. I already had to give up on my cover idea. More when I get the next revision back

@Lynn Smargis I got an email they are subject to Amazon/ingram rules too. If not complied they ghost the book. It happened to one of their authors. Now they are careful.

Coming up: Guest Speakers!
Hey, awesome community! I'm going to bring in a guest speaker each month to speak on a topic related to writing and publishing. I have a couple of ideas lined up. Let me know if you like these. If there's another topic you would like to see a guest speaker on, list it below in the contents. If you like more than one topic, check off the one you like the most and leave the other topic in the comments.
