Just plugging away
When there isn’t anything available in my small Community … gotta stay crafty … 6.0 no start low oil pressure … ipr valve bench tested and it’s not Fully shutting allowing air to pass by… not my fave motor to work on .. hopefully that’s it for this thing
Just plugging away
TOOL YA CANT LIVE WITHOUT
Mobile techs—what’s one tool you absolutely can’t live without? Not budget-based, just the best purchase you’ve made A tool you wouldn’t hesitate to replace Today if it broke A tool that’s used multiple times weekly and would be just a set back of a day without it Mine would be my one way check valve for bleeding brakes or my booster pack !!!

@Ryan Shorey I have the topdon d1 light I have been having some issues pulling some basic pids with this scanner like fuel pressure with many vehicles …. I may get rid of this and upgrade to the big boy topdon
Tekmetric
Another tekmetric question for you guys that have used it! Do you think tekmetric (START) Is good to start with the start package or go with the more grow or scale package I am a one man show, I have all the other programs like all data, identifix ext … I have a basic invoice system that works I mark my parts up but with no way to track any of that at the end of the day just labour rate Im also from Canada these prices go up cause our dollar sucks! I really want a program where I can track profit margins, overall growth ext

@Tim P ya I have alldata as well I’m very comfortable with it .. it’s more for keeping track of slips, customers and profit on labour and parts cause I lack in that area cause that side of this is new to me… I was busy the hole December and I have no idea what I made! lol my company is full registered now as of January so all the slips I currently dish out will go into a folder extra till I find a better way!

Ya I really don’t have to much time , I find my self at the end of the day cleaning or tidying up what needs to be done , battery’s, tools, tommrows parts then quotes and estimates Does the start keep track of total profits and all that good information ? I went and talked to the live chat but the guy wasn’t very helpful so I was gunna call them tomorrow to get a feel for it

Not a bad idea to ask for a deposit to show that there interested in the work your about to perform… most of my customers just fork over all the parts money and pay my labour after the works done … I also had the exact same issue with a Russian that just moved into Canada and there car was mangled … there valve cover had an internal pcv system that was 100% clogged shooting oil into the intake … and the intake had a broken intake lever it was the hardest thing to explain .. I was like this sucks ..
