The 3 Worst Parts About Having a Coaching Business
Every sort of business has it's pros and cons. Here are 3 painful cons that you should be aware of and come to terms with early on if you want to become a successful coach. The 3rd one is my favourite lol 1) Most of your clients won't do what you recommend. As a result, they won't get the results. Is this painful? Yes! Extremely! Can this make you feel like you're not a good coach? Definitely. But this is exactly what makes a recorded success story so satisfying. A recorded success story is video evidence that what you do actually works - so long as someone actually does what you suggest and never gives up! Even if you only have 1 success story, it's proof that what you do works. But if you can collect 12+ good ones, you'll have all the ammo you need to inspire every new client with proof that your pathway works. Pro tip: Write a list of everything all of your most successful clients have in common and then give that list to your customers. Or better yet, get your customers to watch & study all your success stories and have THEM write the list so they can really engrain the lessons themselves. That's what I did with Harrison and a 3 months later he went on to record his own success story. 2) Customers can transform into haters. This one is super painful, but it's the reality of this business. If someone is not getting results, they may ask for a refund. Ouch. Even if you do refund them, they may still be upset they didn't get the results. From there, they can try to ruin your reputation with slander posts, lawsuits, death threats, private DM's to other clients etc.
