So, I've bought this watch online, a Longines Golden Wing. (Picture one) Only then I noticed it's missing a golden bezel. Also the wristband is pretty snuggy tight fitting. Until now I have not found any spareparts (I could not find a replacement bezel and a single piece of the wriststrap costs arround $ 70.-). (I have paid arround $ 180.- for the watch) Would you buy a second watch, just for the replacement parts? The second picture is the cheapest I have found so far. Offered as working, but from an eastern europe country, I'm cautious (on ebay with good ratings, but still). (It would be arround $150.- incl. shipping) -would you buy a second watch? -would you wait to find a cheaper one that's sold as non-working? -where else can I look for bezels if not on second hand platforms? -can a bezel be handmade? who does this? -and if the wristband is tight but symetrical, is it ok to add just one link, making it asymetrical? Sorry for the many questions. The watch still looks nice, but knowing it's missing a part is bugging me. Update: I have asked two Longines licenced watch dealers. Service is 290.-, the bezel cannot be replaced independently, only the whole case can be bought for 490.-. So to professionaly fix it, it's almost CHF 800.- (roughly US $ 1'000.-, but in Switzerland everything is always more expensive, so you can think of it as $ 800.-). The auction for the watch in picture two is over and I missed the deal. I will look for other deals and hopefully find a cheap watch that's no longer working and can be used for it's parts. (I have also put my watch for sale and will buy something else if one takes mine. Whatever comes first)
