My take: The vast majority of business owners and employees still haven't realized that they don't have to adopt to software anymore. Once they figure out its now the other way around, they will see the massive potential that comes from leveraging their domain expertise. But they will need your help. Its way harder than I ever thought to transform a workflow into one that is truly exceptional for a given vertical inside a business. It requires boots on the ground for sure and actual time with the customer. If you are willing and able to do that, you will crush it.
Dogfooding
This is my new favorite word in relation to building with AI. Definition: "Dogfooding is the practice of a company using its own products or services internally before releasing them to the public. Short for "eating your own dog food," it serves as a form of real-world quality control to identify bugs, improve usability, and build confidence in the product." It seems obvious that this is the way of the future. The tools to build are getting better and easier to use. Domain experts building their own software... Anyone here dogfooding a vertical product in the industry they work in and have expertise in?

I've probably taken things a little too far with it! My wife and I built (or more like "are building") a medicolegal management system for my surgical practice for Legal firms to securely upload and manage cases they want our practice to help them with. Nothing like real customers using something thats admittedly a bit brittle.

@Joris Toet Also, I think it forces you to fix smaller issues or add crucial less-exciting features that you might otherwise have neglected.

Hello, I'm Thomas Anderson, a neurosurgeon in the US (SC). I am the operations lead in my practice and am dogfooding internal apps/automations in my practice to streamline our workflows. Healthcare is an exciting field to build in but extremely challenging because of the regulatory issues and incredibly long sale cycles (up to 2 years).
Icebreaker
How are you using AI in your own business or day-to-day life? What AI projects are you working on right now?

I'm trying my best to create workflows within my medical practice. However, the regulatory environment (HIPAA) and the paranoia of the executives in my organization make it virtually impossible. Any of you out there that have cracked this code?
💻New AIS Course: Build Your AI OS
Just dropped a new course in the classroom and I'm pretty pumped about this one. It's the full step-by-step on building your own AI OS. Same exact setup I use every day to run the YouTube channel, the community, and my team. 8 lessons, all my templates and prompts, plus a free GitHub repo so you can skip the boring setup and just start building. To unlock it in the classroom, you just need to hit level 3 in the community. Honestly pretty easy: - Drop an intro post if you haven't yet - Engage with a few other members in the threads - Help somebody out who's stuck on something That's pretty much it. Get to level 3 and the whole thing opens up. See you in there. - Nate
