Hi everyone I am new here my name is William I like to be called bill So my question is in vapi you can build voice agents and get a Twilio number and connect it to the agent and test it and it works but the only thing I am having trouble understanding is how do I put it into a business with a phone number already that they don’t want to change their phone number? Is there another steps I am missing? Any help would be great
So I set up an AI appointment setter for dental clinics and everything seems to be working besides scheduling, When I test it and try to schedule and appointment it basically says that the time wont work and the available times are in the AM. If anyone has any idea how to fix this please reach out. Thanks, Connor Knight
Nearly all the demos I have seen with AI scheduling uses a single calendar for availability. But most small businesses that I am thinking of targeting have something like 10 trucks that can be scheduled for service. Or an auto dealer with 10 service bays. Or a salon with 10 chairs. Any ideas on how to tackle that? Thanks.
@Joseph Flynn different ways you can achieve that, one simple way is pass the name of the service or the truck or whatever you are doing send that to Make or n8n and it will set the proper credentials for that service/calendar the user requested.
Hey everyone, I am currently creating a voice agent on Vapi that books appointments. I am stuck with this problem. When I use any chat GPT 4.1 it is coming up with dates like June the 5th 2024. The Chat GPT 5 gives the correct date and time but seems like it is not the best model for Vapi because it is hard to match the prompt. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated. Many thanks.
@Korey Craig add this to your agent prompt: {{"now" | date: "%A, %B %d, %Y, %I:%M %p", "America/Los_Angeles"}} Sub America/los_Angeles by your timezone.
