WHAT TO SEND: a real hello and one question about... 2. POLTERGEISTS 🎃 - joined, made a little noise. an intro, a comment or two. then vanished. how to find them: Leaderboards → Level 2 and Level 3 → click the percentage link again, start with whoever is online now. WHAT TO SEND: mention the thing they posted. say that you miss them. ask a question about... 3. FALLEN ANGELS 😈 - they used to show up. comments, wins, replies. lately - nothing. how to find them: Leaderboards → Level 4 and up → click the percentage link online now first. WHAT TO SEND: tell them you noticed and miss them. no guilt or shame. ask how they’re doing and what's going on in their life === HOW TO CHECK IF THEY GONE QUIET - click their profile. - click Contributions for your community. - check the date of their last post or comment. === THE RULES - real means you wrote it for that person. - no copy-paste welcome blast. no link. no offer. - one human talking to another human. == 10 DMs is maybe 30 minutes. one reply can turn into your next active member, or your next client. if your community is brand new and you don’t have 10 ghosts yet, message 10 people who liked your posts and never joined. same rules. everyone celebrates wins. wins are good. we want them. but the road to success is paved with failures, many, many, of them. so, we are here normalizing failures. no. we are not just normalizing, we are celebrating them. what is failure? FAILURE is an action - something you did - and the result was not what you expected/wanted to be. GOOD! but... be careful, if you have a free or freemium community. cause ... just like mine with 740+ member i only got 2 reviews. it could actually bring your conversion down. - few more improvements for reviews: better tracking how many months someone is paying + moderation (ppl can report a review) , and they want to do a better sorting of reviews - all very good!!! - videos now have auto-generated captions and transcript in different languages. GOOD! Skoolers Classroom Update - interviews with ppl who got $150k+ MRR. IDK i will comment in the comments once i watch those interview. but... my fear, it is not useful for 99% of us. cause we are miles away... and what we should do is way different from what these ppl do. anywho. for now, i just want to say that i don't think "one number" can be the "only number". cause how many rich & successful ppl are not happy? i can name a few. anyway. good things. bad things. nah things. that's life.

if you're copying someone else's formula, there is no way you stand out. templates are great. "what works" is great. but when your community looks like everyone else's, you compete on price. and competing on price is a race to the bottom. not the race you want to be in. John Hegarty wrote it on a Levi's ad in 1982: "when the world zigs, zag." a black sheep walking against a flock of white ones. that's the whole strategy. especially when you're starting out — focus on what other people don't do. automations save you time. i use them. but they suck the soul out of interactions. they'll save you hours and keep you dry. your goal in the beginning isn't efficiency. it's to get people to love you. to turn them into ambassadors. the famous 100-1000 true fans. the key word is FANS, not the number. you don't get fans by being optimized. you get fans by doing the crazy stuff nobody else will bother with. here's what that looks like for me: - everyone celebrates wins. i celebrate failures. - people run calls in their own time zone. i run mine to catch my APAC friends and my US/Canada friends. even if one person shows up in the Community Income Mastermind. - i send personal welcome messages, not automated ones. and when i do send an automated message, i tell you it's automated. - i offer 1:1 welcome calls in a free community. makes zero sense on a spreadsheet. makes total sense to the person on the call. - i publish my real numbers - conversion rates, retention, the maths - including the unflattering ones. - i answer questions with a recorded video when a text reply would take two minutes. because you hearing my voice is worth more than my two minutes. none of this my competitors do. that's the point. when you do what others won't or don't, you stop competing on price. you become UNIGNORABLE. you stand the f*ck out. what do you already do differently?
