Chat GPT Agent and How to use
Went online as I don’t know about this feature. @Joe Apfelbaum had posted a question and it got my curiosity going. So, here it is. Source: online search ChatGPT's agent mode allows the AI to perform complex, multi-step tasks by using a virtual computer to browse the web, run code, and interact with other tools and services. To use it, select "agent mode" from the tools menu in a paid ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Pro account, describe your task, and the agent will show its work, asking for approval on critical actions before proceeding. You can guide, interrupt, or stop the task at any time. How to use agent mode 1. Activate agent mode: Select "agent mode" from the tools dropdown menu or type /agent in the chat composer. This feature is available for ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Pro subscribers. 2. Assign a task: Describe the task you want the agent to complete. For example, "Create a presentation on quarterly earnings" or "Analyze this spreadsheet and create a summary report". 3. Connect tools and sources (optional): For more advanced tasks, you can connect the agent to other services like Google Drive, Gmail, GitHub, or Slack through the "Connectors" or "Sources" menu to allow it to access your data. 4. Let the agent work: The agent will begin executing the task, and you will see a real-time, step-by-step log of its actions. The agent will often pause to ask for your confirmation before taking actions, especially when involving sensitive information. 5. Guide or interrupt: You can guide the agent by providing further instructions or interrupt it at any point to take over the browser or stop the task entirely. What you can do with agent mode - Automate data analysis: Upload a spreadsheet and ask the agent to create charts, dashboards, and summary reports. - Automate content creation: Have the agent research a topic and generate presentations or slide decks with relevant data and visuals. - Research and synthesize information: Ask the agent to research competitors, summarize client meetings based on recent news, or plan complex itineraries. - Manage your schedule: Connect the agent to your calendar to help plan meetings or block out time for tasks. - Interact with other services: Connect to services like GitHub to analyze code or to Notion to pull and organize data.
