Thankful and Thriving Today
Being thankful is more than just saying thank you when something good happens. It’s a posture of the heart. Gratitude is the lens that helps us see God’s goodness, even in the ordinary and even in the trials. But let’s be real… sometimes we slip into thinking: “I’m a Christian, I’m following God—shouldn’t life be easier? Shouldn’t I be blessed with more?” It’s easy to start feeling entitled to pleasures, comforts, and privileges. And when life feels hard, we might even find ourselves questioning God. Here’s the truth: 👉 When we walk closely with God, our focus shifts. We aren’t consumed with material things. Disappointments and challenges don’t sting the same way because we know where our joy truly comes from. 👉 It’s like being in a new relationship—the “honeymoon phase” where everything feels exciting and fresh. Except with God, that wonder never fades. His love continues to amaze us. The more we draw near, the more thankful we become, and the more we thrive. ✨ Community Reflection: What’s one thing in your life right now that you’re genuinely thankful for—something that has nothing to do with material possessions? Drop it below ⬇️ Let’s fill this space with gratitude and remind one another of the countless ways God keeps us thriving, even when life gets tough.

I am thankful that I am alive and that I have the opportunity every day to live for Jesus and be a living example for others, the ability to help someone else and the gift of writing on my blog for the glory of God and to help other women who have walked through the trenches of life. Life is a gift and it is up to us on how we live it and what we do to reach others for the Lord.
🌧️ When the Skies Feel Gloomy
Some days just feel heavy. The sky is gray, the light feels hidden, and everything around us seems to mirror that mood. But here’s the hope: gloomy skies don’t last forever. ☀️Behind the clouds, the sun is still shining. And in our lives, behind the heaviness, God is still working. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” – Psalm 30:5 💬 Today: On a gloomy day, how do you remind yourself that brighter skies are coming? - Do you pray or open the Word? - Do you listen to worship music that lifts your spirit? - Do you simply pause and breathe in gratitude for what God is doing? Let’s share encouragement with each other today. Your reminder might be exactly what someone else needs when their own skies feel gray. ✨ Remember: Clouds may hide the light for a moment, but they can never extinguish it. God’s promises are always shining. 👇 Drop your reflection below and let’s lift one another up today!

I listen to worship music and remind myself that this too shall pass, brighter days are ahead and I try to remind myself that every day God gives us has a reason and a purpose and one day with God is the perfect day no matter how gloomy it may look outside or what life throws at me, every day is a blessing.
🔥 Today’s Big Question: Are We Loving God… or Just Loving What He Gives Us?
It’s easy to praise God when life feels good — when prayers are answered, blessings are flowing, and doors are opening. But here’s the hard question: If nothing changed in your circumstances — if the blessings stopped, the prayers seemed unanswered, and life got harder — would you still love Him the same? Sometimes, without realizing it, we slip into loving God for what He does for us, instead of loving Him for who He is. But real faith says: “Even if the fig tree does not blossom… yet I will rejoice in the Lord.” (Habakkuk 3:17-18) 💬 Your turn: - How do you keep your love for God strong in seasons where He feels silent? - Have you ever realized your relationship with Him was based more on blessings than on devotion? We can all use a heart check. God’s desire isn’t just to bless us… it’s to be with us. And that’s worth more than anything He could ever give. ❤️

I have gone though so much in the last 2+ years, my beloved husband who was a veteran passed away in July 2023 after a very long 7 year battle with cancer and life has just been hard. Losing him along with my income as I was his primary caregiver. Starting over with so much against me just about took me out. But God is so faithful and I remind myself everyday as I rebuild my life alone with limited income and having to return to work after so long of being the caregiver, that God is always with me, he will never leave me nor forsake me. He always provides right when I need it most. I don’t look at Him like a genie in a bottle, but my best friend, my provider because He is my Father, my husband, my closest companion and He will never let me fall or stumble or go without. So on my hardest days, my resolve and my strength are found in Him, my anchor and my eternal hope that one day I will see my sweet beloved husband again.

When my spirit is weak by world hive. “When my spirit is weak and I cannot go on, your mercy reminds me that I still belong. Your word is my light, my hope and my shield in your holy presence my soul is healed Lord you are my strength, my song in the night you carry my soul you fight all my fights in you I will trust forever I’ll stand my refuge my savior holding my hand” This song has been my peace and my reminder that through Christ I am strong for He is my strength no matter what life throws at me.
🙌 Testimony Tuesday – Let’s Celebrate What God Has Done!
Every week is full of ups, downs, challenges, and surprises. But through it all, God is faithful. Testimonies remind us that He is still moving, still speaking, and still showing up in ways big and small. “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” – Revelation 12:11 💬 Today’s Prompt: Take a moment to reflect on the past week: - Where did you see God’s hand at work? - Was there a prayer answered, even in a small way? - Did you feel His peace in the middle of chaos? - Or did you simply notice His presence in your daily walk? Your testimony doesn’t have to be dramatic to be powerful. Sometimes the smallest victories carry the greatest encouragement. ✨ When you share, you’re not just remembering what God did for you—you’re reminding someone else that He can do it for them too. 👇 Drop your testimony below, and let’s build up each other’s faith today!
