Calm Collective Replay
This one was a massive deep dive into teaching REAL calmness in the car. Not just “quiet”… not just “stop barking”… but actual nervous system regulation and impulse control. We covered: 🐾 What the car currently means to your dog 🐾 Why so many dogs become over-aroused before they even arrive somewhere 🐾 The adrenaline/reward loop most owners accidentally build 🐾 How to completely reset your dog’s emotional response to the car 🐾 Teaching a proper down-stay in the car like place training 🐾 How to train calm behaviour when you’re the only person in the vehicle 🐾 Vet anxiety, excitement, pacing, whining, barking and anticipation 🐾 The difference between suppression vs genuine calmness One of the biggest takeaways:The car is one of the BEST places to teach emotional regulation because it’s structured, repeatable and predictable. Calm is a skill. And skills can be trained 👊🏼 Drop your questions, biggest takeaways or your dog’s current car struggles below and let’s keep helping each other level up 🐾🔥 as promised link to further information - https://www.notion.so/Teaching-Calm-in-the-Car-36b3fa98cc5f8006af8eef57335523d4?source=copy_link

Just a quick question how do you stop your dog going off in the car when they see another dog . Whiskey was do calm after his day at acadamy but on the way home i pulled up at lights and he saw a dog and went berzerk !! Barking up a storm !
🎯 The Vision Behind It All | Calm Collective Replay
This morning’s replay is a little different. We didn't just talk about dog training. We talked about why Walkys exists. The vision of helping save 10,000 dogs from unnecessary behavioural euthanasia. What that number really means. 10,000 dogs that stay in their homes. 10,000 families that don't experience heartbreak. 10,000 opportunities to create more calm, more understanding, and better lives for both dogs and humans. We also shared some exciting updates about where we're heading next. New ways we're building community. New ways we're delivering education. New ways we're creating value for dog owners long before they ever need professional help. Because the future isn't just about training dogs. It's about creating a movement of owners who understand their dogs, support each other, and help raise the standard of dog ownership across Australia. If you've ever wondered where The Calm Collective fits into the bigger picture, this replay will give you a glimpse behind the curtain. Watch the replay, drop your thoughts below, and let us know: 👉 What would you love to see us create next that would help you and your dog succeed? The journey to 10,000 starts one dog, one family, and one conversation at a time. 🐾❤️

So good nathan . Seriously we were considering it for whiskey but i insisted we try one last trainer and i found you guys. Whiskey is having his first day at the academy today !!! We have learnt so much already too ! Thanks so much
Amazing
This is only after one day at Walkys! It might not look like much but we would previously dream of Lotti staying in place in the house. Thanks to the team we know some basic skills to keep Lotti on the rite track. Looking forward to the next three weeks!
