πŸ‘‹ Welcome to the Grapple Growth Community
Glad to have you here. This space is for BJJ and MMA gym owners who are serious about building a smarter, stronger online presence β€” the kind that actually fills your mats instead of just sitting there looking pretty. It's also for anyone in the Jiu Jitsu world who knows a gym owner that could use this. Coaches, competitors, longtime students, affiliates, gear brands β€” if you've got a coach, training partner, or academy you care about, you're welcome here too. Bring them in, share what you learn, and help us raise the standard for how BJJ gyms show up online. Whether you're running one location, scaling to multiple, or just want to make sure your home gym thrives β€” the goal is the same: more of the right students, less time wasted on marketing that doesn't work, and systems that run whether you're on the mat or off it. πŸ‘‰Please click here to start reading through the classroom section The first lesson Includes The "BJJ Gym Digital Foundation Checklist" β€” a 60-point self-audit across the 6 systems every gym needs dialed in (website, SEO, Google Business Profile, visibility, lead capture, and business management). Run through it honestly. If you don't know what something is, just leave it unchecked β€” we can talk about it. You'll walk away knowing exactly where your gym stands and what to fix first. - Message Me With Any Questions here: Tanner You can always shoot me a direct message if you've got a question, want feedback, or just want to talk shop Excited to have you in here. Let's build something real. β€” Tanner Brown Belt BJJ Β· Founder, Grapple Growth

What Is The Most Frustrating Part About Running a Physical Business?
Would love to hear your thoughts as my business is all online. I would think that dealing with other local competitors would be the most frustrating since it may feel like a constant competition. That's my thought from talking with many local business owners though. What about you?

@Mason Collins That makes a lot of sense and I've heard similar things from many other local business owners as well. I'm talking with you in the dm's now. I'd be happy to strategize and see what solutions we can come toπŸ˜„

@Rob MacLeod 100% came to the same conclusion as you, though I have never run my own business, but by me studying things online from people that know more the me, online business is a way less risky as far as $$$ in the beginning, and can open up long term and large scale income opportunities that will also give you money for in person businesses if that is ever something that we would want to pursue in the future : )
Landing Page For Amazon Book Listing
I'd like to start my first Google ad campaign where I'd run a campaign to increase sales for a book listing on Amazon. Should I create a separate landing page to drive traffic to and then direct users to Amazon for purchase, or is it best to drive traffic directly to Amazon from the campaign ad? This is meant to be a use case for a family member so I can generate results for a case study and get used to running PPC ads.

@Aaron Attles hmm understood. Well with books, a big helpful factor is the Frame in which the book is being sold from. Is this a local pastor, or a well known pastor online? Just gathering some added context

@Aaron Attles what I mean by "Frame" is the position in which the author is selling from, and then thinking if a stranger were to see it, would they buy. It's something I've been thinking about for myself. But your dad being a local pastor, I'm sure there are some really interesting points and perspectives he's written about. If it's "Framed" the right way, then more people would be likely to buy. assuming someone isn't well known, the book would need to draw people in with the heading and sub-heading of the book alone, and then want to read it based on how the text outside is written. if someone is well known, then that stuff becomes less important and what becomes more important is the brand or "Frame" of the author
How Do You Feel About a "Grapple Growth" Referral Program?
What incentive would make it worth it for you to refer business to myself? Would a one time referral bonus make it worth it for you... Say ($300) as a thank you for your trust in me to do a good job to another business Or would an ongoing monthly "Cut" be worth it for you? For example, every business you refer, you get $40 per month as long as they maintain as a client with me? Would love your feedback! Trying to think of win win situations for everyone : ) Hope you are all doing well! - Tanner P.S. Grapple Growth Consulting is the company name I came up with a couple years ago, for those of you who only know me as Tanner, just for clarity haha
