Landing Page For Amazon Book Listing
I'd like to start my first Google ad campaign where I'd run a campaign to increase sales for a book listing on Amazon. Should I create a separate landing page to drive traffic to and then direct users to Amazon for purchase, or is it best to drive traffic directly to Amazon from the campaign ad? This is meant to be a use case for a family member so I can generate results for a case study and get used to running PPC ads.

@Tanner Sullivant I'd have to do some initial keyword research and get back to you on the search volume. At the moment I don't know how competitive the keywords would be or potential CPC. The book is authored by a Christian pastor and could be categorized as spiritual development. The budget would be small to start with. I've heard that a good rule of thumb is to allocate budget for roughly 10 clicks per day, but I'd probably want to start smaller than that. I get that it may take longer to optimize, but I don't want to begin with a huge budget. Again, I'd have to do keyword research to see what the high-low keyword range looks like, but these are my thoughts right now

@Tanner Sullivant It's actually my dad, he's a local pastor. I was hoping to see if I could generate sales for his book that's listed on Amazon. My goal would be to run Google ads for a few months and show before and after. It would help me build my PPC skills while serving as a good case study. What do you mean about the frame?
Basics Of Getting Referrals & Reviews
At the most basic level of this topic you simply need to imbedd a referral incentive within your business, service, or product. Take a 100 dollar membership for example, and you offer to your clients a $40 Referral incentive for a recommended client. Once that referral becomes a paying member, you either grant a one time, or reccurring commission as a thank you. Businesses seem to overcomplicate this, when in reality it's as simple as asking your clients or community for referrals. If you have a good product, and provide an incentive, then for every client you recieve, they replace their own membership, and in some cases cause exponential growth! During or at the end of their experience you simply ask for a 5 star review on google if you are a local business, for a written testimonial through text, or even a video testimonial Having those in your back pocket is an extremly helpful resource and it's as simple as making it a habit to ask. This concept is further explored in Alex Hormozi's Book "$100M Leads"

@Christine Berencz This is great advice. I like the idea of offering congratulations on a decision being made. It communicates that you weren't just holding the conversation for your benefit alone, but you do want to see the business succeed regardless of your involvement. That's a trust building moment that can payoff down the road.

How Do You Feel About a "Grapple Growth" Referral Program?
What incentive would make it worth it for you to refer business to myself? Would a one time referral bonus make it worth it for you... Say ($300) as a thank you for your trust in me to do a good job to another business Or would an ongoing monthly "Cut" be worth it for you? For example, every business you refer, you get $40 per month as long as they maintain as a client with me? Would love your feedback! Trying to think of win win situations for everyone : ) Hope you are all doing well! - Tanner P.S. Grapple Growth Consulting is the company name I came up with a couple years ago, for those of you who only know me as Tanner, just for clarity haha

Great question. Personally, I appreciate receiving recurring income. For you, I'd imagine that sending a one off payment may be easier/cost effective, especially if you tend to retain customers for years. It would depend on the lifetime value of a customer and whether you want to track who you need to pay referral commissions to.
