Thank you for joining us and helping work out the kinks before we roll this out to all our followers! Right now, the Transformation Journey course is 99% complete. We're working on finalizing the House Dog course along with the Off Leash Journey this month. On the horizon, we have Reactive Rehab, Play is the Way, and documentation of our sport dog journeys. As you work through the material, please let us know if anything is confusing or if there are topics you'd like us to cover. Since we work with dogs daily, basic questions sometimes fly right over our headsโ€”but there are no dumb questions! You're here to help us improve and build a better community.

Niceee is this the one with resource guarding issues?
Hi!๐Ÿ‘‹
Hello, my name is Katie. I am a dog training enthusiast. Iโ€™ve been training my dog for several years. Weโ€™ve definitely made a dent, but there is always more to work on. Both of my dogs struggle with human reactivity. one has a bite history. I can find the music that I like in almost any genre. Forgive me if thereโ€™s anything I forgot to mention. I look forward to learning with everybody. Dog training lights me up. I enjoy being in the room with people who know more about dogs than I do. ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜Š

WELCOME TO THE KAIZEN CANINE COMMUNITY ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ”ฅ
If youโ€™re here, it means youโ€™re committed to raising a dog that listens well, travels well, and makes good decisions. It is an honor to be apart of your journey! Letโ€™s get you settled in. Follow the steps below so we can get to know you, plug you into the community, and make sure you get the most out of this space. STEP 1: Are you a dog owner who has trained before but is still dealing with reactivity? ๐Ÿ‘‰ If yes: You might be a great fit for our 1:1 coaching โ€” click here to learn more.๐Ÿ‘‰ If no: Youโ€™re still in the right place โ€” start by exploring our free lessons and community posts. STEP 2: CREATE YOUR FIRST POST & INTRODUCE YOURSELF Drop your intro in the comments so we can put some faces to names (and paws ๐Ÿพ to PUPS). Use this format: โ€œHey! My name is _____.Hereโ€™s a photo of me + my dog(s) ๐ŸถWeโ€™re currently struggling with _____.We joined this community because we want _____.Hereโ€™s what we bring to the community: _____. My favorite music genre, movie, or fruit is _____." (Yes, this part matters. It tells us everything we need to know about your personality. Kiddingโ€ฆ mostly.) STEP 3: Reply to 3โ€“5 other intros. Say hi, ask about their dog, relate to their struggles! There is no community with us helping each other. STEP 4 (IMPORTANT): Before you post questions anywhere in the community: โœ”๏ธ Double-check the rules โœ”๏ธ Follow the question-asking format pinned in the Rules section โœ”๏ธ Keep things clear, respectful, and helpful Step 5: QUESTION ASKING FORMAT (Copy/Paste This When You Need Help) 1. What are you currently working on?(Be specific: recall, heeling, place, engagement, neutrality, crate work, reactivity, etc.) 2. Where did your dog struggle?(Describe the exact behavior: pulling, barking, breaking position, ignoring food/toys, shutting down, etc.) 3. What happened right before the struggle?(What triggered it? A person/dog walking by, too much distance closed, too little reward, high pressure, unclear cue, etc.) 4. How did you handle it in the moment?(What you did: reset, added distance, rewarded, corrected, changed environment, etc.)
