WELCOME TO THE KAIZEN CANINE COMMUNITY 🐕🔥
If you’re here, it means you’re committed to raising a dog that listens well, travels well, and makes good decisions. It is an honor to be apart of your journey! Let’s get you settled in. Follow the steps below so we can get to know you, plug you into the community, and make sure you get the most out of this space. STEP 1: Are you a dog owner who has trained before but is still dealing with reactivity? 👉 If yes: You might be a great fit for our 1:1 coaching — click here to learn more.👉 If no: You’re still in the right place — start by exploring our free lessons and community posts. STEP 2: CREATE YOUR FIRST POST & INTRODUCE YOURSELF Drop your intro in the comments so we can put some faces to names (and paws 🐾 to PUPS). Use this format: “Hey! My name is _____.Here’s a photo of me + my dog(s) 🐶We’re currently struggling with _____.We joined this community because we want _____.Here’s what we bring to the community: _____. My favorite music genre, movie, or fruit is _____." (Yes, this part matters. It tells us everything we need to know about your personality. Kidding… mostly.) STEP 3: Reply to 3–5 other intros. Say hi, ask about their dog, relate to their struggles! There is no community with us helping each other. STEP 4 (IMPORTANT): Before you post questions anywhere in the community: ✔️ Double-check the rules ✔️ Follow the question-asking format pinned in the Rules section ✔️ Keep things clear, respectful, and helpful Step 5: QUESTION ASKING FORMAT (Copy/Paste This When You Need Help) 1. What are you currently working on?(Be specific: recall, heeling, place, engagement, neutrality, crate work, reactivity, etc.) 2. Where did your dog struggle?(Describe the exact behavior: pulling, barking, breaking position, ignoring food/toys, shutting down, etc.) 3. What happened right before the struggle?(What triggered it? A person/dog walking by, too much distance closed, too little reward, high pressure, unclear cue, etc.) 4. How did you handle it in the moment?(What you did: reset, added distance, rewarded, corrected, changed environment, etc.)
