Closing Closing Closinggg
Heyyy, Recently had a call with a new prospect, he was a stock market coach. The call was going decent, but suddenly my co-founder texted me on wp ābhai y toh close hone hi aaya hā The reason he texted this was 'cause the guy on the call was constantly saying stuff like "I was looking for the same help", "this is exactly what I needed" etc. Usually, when such things happen, 2 thoughts hit my mind: 1. Either we tapped the right person at the right time 2. or... theyāre just exploring & will ghost with some typical rigid objection š majorly, i assume the second one. reason being āsales se disconnect hona h taaki call hurt na kareā š Turns out, I was right. he said, āSwapnil I need at least a week to discuss with my other partners, Iāll be travelling for 7 days with my family,ā and I was like⦠as expected. This has been such a pattern now: they pretend to be the ideal fit and then throw a combo of: āfamily trip + partners discussionā btw, he was the same guy who said āIām the sole decision makerā š i was sure heās going to be in the lost deal bucket. but i still wanted to try once. So I said āAbhijeet, I think I asked you at the beginning of the call itself, are you the only decision maker or did you want to add someone else on the call?ā and you replied, ānope i am the sole decision maker in this domain.ā so i think you needed to frame a better objection š My co-founder instantly texted ābhai let it be, we know kya krra h wo. offend mt kro.ā (for context, we both usually text during calls to stay on the same page.) but funny part was the guy laughed. and said "Never seen someone being so blunt with me on any past calls š. Really loved this, Swapnil." then he goes āi wanted to join but price is the concernā I offered him a better payment structure and just because of that blunt statement, he got closeddd š« I had a team call after this, told them the story They laughed like hell š So I thought iāll share it here too Maybe it makes you laugh Or maybe thereās a tiny learning here too...
