✨ Welcome to Magic Moments!
This is a space for the quiet, sacred, soul-deep experiences we share with our dogs ... the kind that stay with you, long after the moment has passed. Here, we honour the moments that feel like whispers from something bigger: ✨ That deep look your dog gave you when words weren’t needed ✨ The way they found you when you were hurting ✨ A moment that made you stop and feel grateful ✨ A sign, a synchronicity, or a soft moment that took your breath away ✨ A dream, a ritual, a knowing Whether it’s big and bold or small and subtle, if it stirred something in your heart, it belongs here. You can share a short story, a photo, or just a feeling. Let this be a sacred thread of connection and presence. 🌟 To explore other spaces in the sanctuary, just click “Categories” above. Each one is a place to explore, share, and feel at home. This is a co-created space, tended with love. As we share and connect, the community grows with us, and hopefully we’ll create a space with happier dogs, happier humans, and a happier world. Your magic is welcome here. ✨ With love, Birdy & Pax (Canine Executive Officer) 💛

When dog(s) lead you to someone special
Such an easier story to tell instead of write, but here goes…. After many years of wanting a dog (grew up with them and my last one ended up staying with my parents) I got a divorce, so I got a puppy. Mitchell was an amazing companion, he kept me sooooo active and made me jump into dog training. He had some pit bull in him and felt accordingly about other dogs, or at least some other dogs. The second trainer I employed actually did help us a lot, including getting me hiking dogs for a side hustle. I met a bunch of other dog people and went to a Jay Jack workshop to learn about play in training. They introduced us to The Canine Paradigm. Which introduced me to PSA and Belgian Malinois. I figured I had years to learn about training before I’d get one, but it ended up being only a couple years later. While I was learning as much as I could about training dogs, I was also learning how to connect with myself. 2020 was, well you all know; I lost my dad on top of it, decided I needed to be single and that my horse who had been my first magic needed a different life than I could provide. But I had Mitchell and a forest outside my door that I hiked almost daily. Obviously the world became very different but I was actually very grounded and grateful for everything I had in my life. And then in 2021 I had to make the call that ripped my heart apart and I did a BE. Broken and bawling nearly daily I didn’t want to put grief into a puppy, but within a month I knew I couldn’t exist without a dog in my life. I made the leap into the bite sport world with an 8 week old Jareth, who flew home with me in a mesh pet carrier. As long as I touched him he stayed calm, so I touched him for the better part of 12 hours. He is not a replacement but he did help me heal, and definitely kept me busy. (Still does, but it’s different now that he’s 4.5y) I knew I would have to travel to get the help I needed to train him, but I didn’t know he would take me quite as many places as he has. And because I ended up finding a community of people 10hrs away from where I was living I decided to move there instead of driving all the time. It was 2 years after I brought him home I decided to sell my house and say goodbye to amazing friends. I was happily still single, and pictured finding a little house in the city to live in with Jareth.

Meditations for dog lovers
So I’m thinking of starting recording meditations for dog lovers…. Please tell me: -what would be worth your time listening to? - what would be helpful? - what is your experience with meditation? Thank you - have a lovely day 💛🙏

I love a guided meditation, one I could do with my dogs and cat would be cool... like a petting meditation, similar to the walking meditation perhaps??
