My soul dog will be 14 in a few weeks. Simple joys. Walking is a little tough, and she’s always loved car rides.

I’ve been away for a little over a week watching a friend’s menagerie (dogs, chickens, Hedwig the pied crow, a couple snakes). As soon as I started my drive home my husband sent me this photo. With a note that said she didn’t do any window sitting this week until today.

This is the face of a dog that discovered the red nail polish on his mum’s freshly painted toes doesn’t taste great…. 🙄 he was so bloody fast I couldn’t even stop him 🤣
