Everyone tells you to niche down. I tell new agency owners the opposite.
Stop narrowing your ICP down to one industry before you have any data. New agency owners do this constantly. They pick a niche off a course, go all in, and wonder why the emails aren't landing. Here's what recommend instead. Build the exclusion list first. Remove the industries you genuinely don't want. Hate working with legal? Cut legal. Everything else stays open. That keeps your total addressable market wide while you're still figuring out what actually resonates. Then send the broad campaign. Same offer, every industry that's left. Give it two months. By then the replies tell you where the money is. One or two industries will be answering way more than the rest. Now you narrow. Double down on the niche that's replying. Write copy just for them. Build the next list around them. You didn't guess the niche. The market picked it for you, and you've got the reply data to prove it. Which industry ended up being your niche without you planning it?

The reply data tells you the niche — speed tells you whether you’ll actually close it. What I’ve seen: campaigns surface a responsive vertical, but by the time the follow-up lands (4-8 hours later), that motivation has cooled. The market told you where to go; the speed-to-lead gap decided whether you got there in time. Data-driven niche selection + automated same-day response sequence = the two things that compound together. One without the other leaves points on the table. For me it was real estate and med spas — neither planned, both emerged from the data.

@Ahmed Sam Happy to help with that when you can post, Ahmed. In the meantime — most blacklist issues come down to three things: sending volume ramped too fast, list quality (cold/scraped vs opted-in), and domain/IP warm-up. The fix is almost always slowing the ramp and tightening the source. Post your question and I’ll give you a full breakdown. 🙏
