Sales bro
Hi guys pleasure to meet you all. I actually work on the opposite side of you guys - in client acquisition. I’ve recently just taken on an SEO only client and have joined the group to better understand the front end of the service. I understand it’s a much harder sell than fb ads or google ads with their quick win results - the instant gratification of the marketing world I suppose! This seems to be where the difficulty of the sale lies - setting the expectation that results will take at least 6 months. What strategies do you guys use to overcome this?

@Aveney Ramen Welcome to the community, Aveney! 🙌 Great point — SEO really is a different kind of sell compared to paid ads. What helps me is being transparent about the timeline upfront and framing those first few months as the “foundation phase.” Also, sharing early wins like ranking improvements, traffic growth, or content production milestones can keep clients engaged while waiting for bigger results. Looking forward to more of your insights here! 🚀
What think and do your Leads before they see your SEO-Work?
Comment below. It is not about a domain or client, it is about your approach. This community is focussed on Semantic SEO, Real Topical Authority (as Koray teaches) – and on Systemic SEO as well. Reads: What do your / your client's prospects experience, what do they suffer from, and how do they imagine a solution before they know that you, your website, and your offer exists? These thoughts go beyond the common edges of on-page SEO.

Really interesting question, Johannes! Before prospects even see our SEO work, I think they’re usually driven by a mix of pain points and curiosity — they’re searching for clarity, solutions, or even just reassurance that someone understands their needs. It’s about stepping into their shoes and thinking: “What makes them pause, feel heard, and want to know more — even before discovering our site?”That mindset naturally shapes both the content strategy and the way we present our expertise.

I tried to break the silence. Don't know will it work or not; and even I will be leveled up or not.
