Please Introduce yourself!
Welcome to GourmetQuilter Studio Corner - a community for quilters, creators and more. Please take a moment to introduce yourself below. What we would love to know: where in the world are you? what sort of quilts or other delicious items do you like to make? what are you working on right now? what does your workspace look like - maybe add a picture? Please also use this space to welcome other quilters in. Thanks, looking forward to meeting you all.

I live in Hampshire, England. I have always sewn from an early age. First at school , then evening classes for dressmaking & tailoring. When I retired I was looking for some new challenges so took on a City & Guilds course for machine embroidery where I learn't all sorts of techniques. Quilting & patchwork followed. I now mainly make things for charities as there are only so many quilts you can hang on the wall, put on the furniture or gift to friends.

@SusanClaire Mayfield I attended one of your talks when you visited Farnham.

Mulling through ideas of what to make I decided a pilates quilt was a good idea!!! No pattern made up from pictures found on the web, challenging. The second one is embroidery pieces completed over the years that were sitting in a draw. Out came the scrap box and the maths skills were tested once again.
