I've been in business for 25+ years as a dog trainer and behaviour consultant ... but really, everyone knows that I'm actually training the hoomans! Luckily I love working with both ends of the leash — all different types and sorts of pups and peeps and problems. I've just started a Skool community of my own about enjoying the outdoors with your dog ... whether local spaces or epic adventures. Because adventuring and hiking and biking and paddling and road tripping is life! Dogs, outdoors, learning, connecting. Life is good! My goal is to get "enough" money to get a travel van and not be tied to location for business. At age 60 I need community to make it in the virtual world, whether I live the van life or just take more road trips here and there. Ivy and I live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada! My kids had Pokémon… I remember a little red guy. ❤️ And my favourite colour is purple. 💜 Two colours that go well together in my opinion, and don’t clash… But either way… That’s my style. I was talking to prospective clients on a mastermind call that I attend and asked 1 question: If you are a mom entrepreneur, what makes you decide NOT to join a group? The overwhelming consensus was: 1. They are often full of so much drama and cliques and they didn't want to deal with the BS 2. They can get really judgmental if you don't "fit in" 3. They're all a certain way and I just want to be 🌈me So, I took the first page of my about page and added the statement "all with ZERO judgement and ZERO drama" because I felt like that summed it up... and my conversion rate went from 19% to now a whopping 29% oh and we grew by 36 people in the process 😘 So, want to give your about page a BIG boost? Try asking your audience what STOPS them from joining and address it head on ❤️

If you don't know, my community is all about healing nervous system regulation, inner child growth, mindset shifts energy, work and more lotta woo woo stuff and it's great and I love it but lately it's felt a little heavy and not as a line as I like it to be I'd like it to be one of those memberships where you just come and you're allowed to be your authentic self and you just show up however you are whether that's full face makeup hair done outfit all of it or just show up in sweatpants. Just show up as you are so, I want to change the name from the healing hub to one of these two options. I think I know which one I like, but I wanna hear from you which one you think would make you laugh and be a place of good energy and fun What do you think? I was talking to someone on Skool about the power of “challenges”, so I decided to kick off June with a new challenge for my community. I made two slides with a doodle explaining the challenge and posted it to my X (that only has 6k followers) Surprisingly, the post got shared a bunch and my Skool group member count shot up to 1k!!!! 🤯 I had promoted on X before, but never got attention the way this post had. I wonder if it was the challenge and timing as it was the start of the month. Sharing this win if any other Skool group owner wants to give this method a try! ☺️

Biggest challenge at aged 62 - moving my offline seminar business to online community. I am motivated the most by my wife who has Lou Gehrigs. I want the same or more success selling my course offline, but online so we can afford more trips. We travel with 6 carers who are expensive!
