Hi 3xFreedom community, My name is Steven Smit, 34 years old, based in the Netherlands. For over 11 years I’ve been running a family-owned podiatry practice that I originally set up together with my mother, and which I now run with my younger brother, who I also live with. We are highly specialized in custom-made orthotics, helping people with lower-body pain walk and stand pain-free. Operationally, we are very strong. Structurally, we learned the hard way. I’ve been deeply embedded in the day-to-day operations for years, without installing scalable structures early on. As a result, we are now hitting friction at growth points. Processes, delegation, data, decision-making. That reality forced us to rethink the business fundamentally. Currently, we are restructuring the practice using AI-driven systems to create a scalable, location-independent model. The long-term goal is to evolve the family practice into a structure that allows me to work internationally, including Saudi Arabia and Dubai, doing the same core work at much higher leverage and tax efficiency.
