@Christie Maxey Welcome, Christie! ☕️🇺🇸 A veteran-themed coffee company with the long-term goal of roasting in-house sounds like a really meaningful concept. Building the business plan around that vision should give you a strong foundation. What part of the dream excites you most right now—the roasting, the café, or the veteran community behind it?

@Elizabeth Meeker Welcome, Liz! 🥯☕️ A bagel shop with great coffee sounds like a perfect fit for a tiny town, especially if you can create a place where locals feel connected. Finding the right space and capital can be challenging, but you’re already clear on what you want. What do you think your town is missing most that your shop could provide?

@Melinda LoganThat sounds like an exciting journey! 🧁🚚 You already have a great foundation with your farmers market experience, and adding coffee could make the food truck even more appealing. What part excites you most about the dream the baking, creating the coffee menu, or having your own mobile business?

Hello from Montreal!
Hello coffee lovers! My name is Maggie and I’ve just found this course and community by coincidence. I’m quite happy for the ressources and guidance. I’m a coffee lover and food enthousiast. I also love the gym and keeping healthy so my idea is to bring specialty recipes with a healthy twist. Montreal has great coffee culture and I’d love to open a hole in the wall type of coffee spot! Excited to share and exchange ideas with you all!

@Carrie Osborne Absolutely! 🙌 Healthy doesn’t have to mean boring or lacking flavor. I think that balance could actually become a big part of what makes a café memorable. What flavors or treats do you think people would get excited to see on a healthier menu?
Hello
hello everyone I am Kiran living in London from 10 years with my husband and 2.5 year old daughter, I worked in many cafes as a barista & cafe manager after my daughter born the gap came in my carrier and now I have applied many jobs but not getting revert, then decided to open a coffee shop but from where to start what to do that’s a big question, I contact for business loan but for that they wanted a people who own the property in uk and can make a guarantor for my business I contacted many friends but no one came forward for help, then I thought let’s delay the plan little bit and learn about coffee business, I live in Brentford London and this area some cafes but the food not so good and what I have planning in my mind I wanted to open Japanese bakery where I can put brunch, coffee and Japanese pastry So this is the idea in my mind if you people suggest me something that would be great for me.

@Kiran Singh That’s a smart approach learning first can save you from some expensive mistakes later. ☕️📚 What part of the café business do you feel you need to understand most before taking that first step?
Na Náměstí
Hey guys! I wanted to properly introduce our café here. We're Na Náměstí (On The Square) in Prague, Czech Republic. We're located in the municipal building of Suchdol where the area's coat of arms uses two swans - which went into the logo concept, incorporating the community into our café. I'm an American expat living here for 8+ years, and work at the university nearby, so this was a great opportunity to further integrate myself into the community I've been part of for so long. I'm excited to share my love of coffee and bounce ideas with the community here as well. If you've already gotten started yourself, please connect and share your story. Looking forward to talking with you all!
