Roadblocks are not what they appear...
Have you ever felt like you know God has a plan, but every road in front of you feels blocked? A job that feels stagnant. A family that needs more of you than you think you can give. Fear that whispers you are one mistake away from losing everything. Scripture says this. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”Jeremiah 29:11 NIV What often gets missed is that this promise was given to people who were still in exile. Still waiting. Still uncomfortable. Still dealing with uncertainty they did not choose. God did not say the road would be clear. He said the destination was secure. Many men think a roadblock means they took a wrong turn. In reality, roadblocks are often the training ground. Pressure builds strength. Resistance reveals character. Waiting teaches obedience and trust in ways comfort never could. If you are carrying fear, it does not mean you lack faith. It means you care deeply. If you feel stretched thin, it does not mean you are failing. It means you are being asked to grow. God’s plans are not fragile. They do not fall apart because of a hard season, a slow career move, or a tough family chapter. Often those very moments are shaping the man who will be trusted with what comes next. Today, do not ask God to remove every obstacle. Ask Him to refine you through them. Keep showing up. Keep leading. Keep choosing faith when clarity is missing. The road may feel blocked, but you are not stuck. You are being built. Speak this Prayer. God, help me trust You when the path feels unclear. Strengthen me in the waiting. Shape me into the man You are calling me to be. Amen.
