Monday Reflection 🧤
Each Monday, I want you to share your reflections from your game over the weekend — or your training session if you did not play. Tell us what you felt went well, but also be honest about what did not go so well. If you made a mistake, share: 1. What happened? 2. What could you have done differently? Logan had a decent match in goal on Saturday morning. Conceded a couple of early goals, perhaps a bit slow to get going. Second half he started to dominate his area both physically and vocally, as we have asked him to do. Made some brave 1v1 takes on the ground despite being kneed in the face. Produced a brilliant reaction save near the end. He was diving/sliding for a low shot left handed, ball was clipped by a defender, but he managed while sliding to lift his right hand and palm ball away. Clean sheet second half. Maybe we need to change his warm up routine to get him firing quicker, but all in all he had a good game. Sunday played as CB, two matches, he's really enjoying playing outfield and growing in confidence each week

Logan plays MJPL tomorrow away somewhere in Coventry, then locally on Sunday, first two games of the first mini tournament. He has turned down a pro academy trial due to having too busy a schedule and the enjoyment he gets from his new team. Good luck to all players and have fun

Logan played in goal yesterday in MJPL, first home match and also first grass match. His team lost but they learnt a lot about playing on home pitch and also worked hard for each other until final whistle. Today he has two matches playing outfield, usually as a LB or RB Good luck all players today, enjoy and learn

@Emma Dowling thanks. Saturdays game was very competitive. His team won by one goal and Logan was voted parents POTM after a number of saves, 1v1 blocks, an assist and his general calmness during tough times. Sunday was easier, played Left and right CB and had a tidy couple of matches. Did you play at the weekend?

Logan played outfield on Sunday. In the first match playing as a CB he scored an own goal. On reflection he realised he was to blame because he didn't communicate with the GK or play the pass outside of the goal posts. It was a good lesson learnt at no cost to the team as they led 7 nil at the time. Second game he played striker, scoring two in the correct goal 😃
