Garlic & ginger
Well I upgraded my breakfast food and added garlic and ginger to my banana and 2 kiwi's. Hopefully keep the vampires away 👌💪♥️

Corticosteroid Shots?
Hello all. Does anyone here have any experience with Corticosteroid shots? My niece was over here this afternoon helping out her ailing aunt and uncle (because we have no children & she is an angel) and she was telling me about them. I’m having severe nerve pain in my lower back/spine (I still don’t understand the difference between “back” and “spine”). I’d love to hear from all of you if you have experience with these shots. I’ve still got at least 4 or 5 more physio appointments but I’m not seeing any improvement yet.

I've had 3 in my left shoulder over the years. They relieve the pain but don't last long, usually 3 to 6 months.
Accountability Call Replay - June 11, 2026
A bit of an unusual call yesterday! Not many people were able to make it so the call was a chat with the few who could make it! Weekly Wins (many people shared their wins with me outside of the call so am posting those here too): @Ryan Muir did his arm bike 2/3 times and had garden boxes built in his backyard in preparation for an attempt at planting veggies! @Nolan Watson has been consistent with his audio mixing and is staying semi-consistent with his poetry and reading. @Melinda Haus performed with her choir during the weekend even in the midst of an upcoming surgery! @Jim Smith attended every workout session this week except for one, went to physio twice, and planted 95% of his flowers! @Brittney Neunzig managed to make sense of 20 scientific studies on nutrition after SCI and draft an outline for her youtube video as well as completing the content for lesson two in the nutrition workshop!

Growing ginger sounds interesting, I need to look into that when I move. Also hope to get some grow boxes to do veg like potatoes, carrots, spring onions. Also I watch two guys on you tube and there show is called "Mighty Car Mods", one of the presenters makes tunes / jingles for TV adverts etc. I don't know anything more but could be good to do some research or reach out to him for advice Nolan if your interested. Ryan, I was wondering about you not liking to reheat food? Does this mean you don't like the idea of microwaves? I do all my cooking using a air fryer and a microwave as I don't have room for a full on cooker. I buy my chicken breast pre-cooked and use the air frier to reheat, salmon I cook from raw which takes 15 min. The microwave I cook 2min Ben's rice packs and frozen baked potatoes which are a McCain's product and they are good and take 7min. I then use raw pre cut veg like carrot batons, celery sticks, tomatoes and I use red peppers which I cut up to keep in the fridge. I'm a tight arse and don't like to spend money on electricity so the microwave and air frier are perfect, I use less than £1.20 a day which all helps as being disabled costs a fortune as we all know.
Lymphodima
Does anyone else suffer with lymphodima? Picture on the left is last night with calves swollen, right leg which is my bad leg and on the right this morning. Usually pass 1000ml of urine during the night. It was a lot worst December 2024 but after wearing compression stockings I managed to get it under control to where I am now.

@Jim Smith mad isn't it. I have worked out my body is happy to function on 1900ml of water a day, I pass overall 500ml more a day.

Just a quick note that I live alone and don't have carers so completely independent, the hardest work out of the morning was wheeling from the bedroom (carpeted) to the bathroom to empty the urine bottles back when I first moved in. One handed wheeling holding a urine bottle was not easy, especially with the tight doorways. Solution! Use a length of paracord and make a lanyard! Job done 🙂Good tip.
