Some Yarrow, some mysteries, no frost!
Finally down to one patch of snow in the yard! Yarrow grows naturally by our porch, along with a mystery plant (last pic) that loves growing in between the bricks. I think those are the white mint roots in my in-ground bed. Mystery grass or onions by the rooster. It looks like the pansies self seeded in a few planters & about the yard too. 😍 Some folks wait for Memorial day to plant outside, but we got started last weekend!! My son helped me start digging out the bed (not pictured) with strawberries & grass. It's chock full of grass roots! We transferred some of the grass & strawberries and plan to replace them with sunflowers & zucchini & other flowers. I've also got some peas outside in containers now and just planted a few kale & broccoli sprouts in some beds, & sprinkled some dill seeds in some beds. 😁 Love this time of year!! πŸ’š

Calling all faerie kidnappers
I have been so busy with work that I'm begging for the faeries to take me away πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ Every time I'm outside, I've just been staring blissfully into the green hoping they'll snatch me up haha Spring has been kind, so we've got lots growing quickly: philly fleabane, celadine, creeping jenny (I have no idea where this came from but it's all over my neighborhood this year) and loads of mayapple to name a few. Herbs are coming in nicely too!

Beautiful plants!
How much?
Now a free abundance is starting to arrive from nature , how much of the food you eat is forage, how much do you grow and how much comes from a sustainable source?

I have gardened for 30+ years. With probably only 25-30% of my food coming from the garden. Last year I started an indoor garden for fun and enjoyed fresh greens over the winter. I'm new to foraging and so far still just learning.

@Phillip Greenwood isn't it wonderful?! I'm so happy to finally have more time and motivation to learn.

I've been busy
Hey y'all! You're girls been real busy. We secured a rv, got it to the property, got power out to it (still working on water) and have most of our car projects moved down. Our last day in the apartment is Friday and we are almost fully packed and moved. I realized I've been so busy aside from a few up close pictures I took for Inaturalist I've not taken any of the set up or our space, except for one single picture I took looking out over the creek that is basically our front yard. So I'll share that for now. Hope everyone is having a great spring and their gardens are growing well.
