I interviewed leading endocrinologist Dr David Cavan about his new book "A Guide to Weight Loss Injections" It was a fascinating conversation.. here's an excerpt:

Absolutely. The mainstream media's scaremongering about rapid weight gain when people stop the injections is hugely misleading.

@Graham Phillips Yes, quite so. 👍
MicroDosing
If an apple a day keeps the doctor away would you eat 10 apples? Well drugs are no different. The GLP-1s are Prescription ONLY for a reason. They can be incredibly effective and CAN come with horrible side effects (not to mention huge cost). So my approach is to use the MINIMUM dose at the OPTIMUM frequency to get the MAXIMUM benefits, the MINIMUM side effects and of course the MINIMUM £££

To what extent does the body adjust to doses? I've been doing well on 2.5 mg for the last 8 months but, this month particularly, the suppression doesn't seem as effective and my loss has slowed too, despite my making appropriate adjustments. I'm considering going up to 3.5 mg but am reluctant to increase at all. Any advice?

Hi Graham, Thank you for this group and the introduction video. New member here, just added my bio and intro. To my mind, people regaining weight when they stop the jabs relates directly to *how* they lost the weight. People often think that the jabs do the work when, as with any weight loss journey, it's actually vital to do the work yourself: balancing macros, protecting essential muscle, strength training, hydrating, and consuming essential minerals. Otherwise, while you may succeed in achieving a slimmer body, you're also likely to end up with one that's nutritionally deficient and naturally rebounds in order to resupply its basic needs. To prevent that vicious cycle, it's critical to focus on health and mitochondrial wellness through eating wholefoods, just using the jabs to help with appetite suppression and the like.
Want More Structure, Accountability and Support?
This free community will give you practical, evidence-based help to reduce cravings, understand weight regain, improve metabolic health, and build habits you can actually maintain. For those who want deeper support, I also run ProLongevity Essentials as a small-group programme. It is built around: - a structured 12-week plan - real accountability - a small cohort model - a shared mission to improve metabolic health for the long term Our first cohort was capped at 10 people and sold out immediately. The second cohort also sold out, so there is now a waitlist. It is first come, first served. If you would like details or want to be added to the waitlist, comment below or message me directly.
