Oh no! I just woke from my literal fever dream (my kids brought home COVID just in time for spring break) and realized I missed tonight. I hope it was a success! Please let us know about the next one—I’d love to join!
If you’ve joined recently, feel free to say hello, share anything you’d like about yourself, and tell us what kind of writing you’re working on (or trying to get back to). Excited to have you all here!
Thanks, Frank, for creating this group and accepting my request to join! I’m proudly a mom of two elementary school aged children, and I have a full house with a good girl dog and 3 needy cats. Professionally, I’m a busy grants manager for a national company. I’ve been writing grants full-time for over ten years and I mentor and coach other grant writers to grow in their careers. While I really love what I do and find it empowering because it allows me to combine my creativity, business acumen, and passion for public service to do good in the world—it also saps my brain power so I’m basically an unplugged toaster after work, kids’ homework, dinner, and bedtime routines. I can tell you the details of every season of Bridgerton, Invincible, and way too many other TV shows, but I haven’t written anything personal in years. My heart misses it, and I’d love to get past the cringey feeling when I read my personal writing from years ago by making some new cringey work. Currently, I am working on nothing, but I’m hoping to change that through these group meetings. I love a working meeting to help hold me accountable to myself!
