FB Ad Audit Hour
Hi Folks! If you knew Mal was going to provide a FB Ad Audit once a month, what part of your FB Ad would you most like her to audit? Can be anything so throw your wish list down!

Uh, can I vote to include everything? If I have to narrow it down, ad creative.
Question, Friends!
Hello Authors and Friends! If I were to post more classrooms on teaching AI for writing, images, and marketing, do you think it should be in Storyteller Lab (here) or should it be separated out into it's own separate Skool classroom? I don't want to turn anyone off from Storyteller Lab if AI is not welcome but I don't want to make you signup for another Skool platform, either. Please vote here so we can see how everyone feels!

This group has always been AI-friendly, so I think it would be fine to keep it all here.

Just need to vent 😤
I shouldn’t have looked at my comments on an ad, but I stupidly did. And got one of those “well if they used ai in their ad then they must have used it for everything else” blanket judgements. Oooo that gets my goat! (That’s a weird idiom, btw) 😡 Yeah, I just spent 15 years learning how to write, 5 months writing it, and $900 on an artist & formatting, alone, you $&%#! I know, just ignore. Ignore. Any sympathetic ranting or calming words are welcome.

@Kendra Johnston This is hilarious... and I love it!
The Importance of Genre and Trope
Genre + Trope = Your New Targeting Facebook is reducing detailed audience targeting and dynamic creative. So… how do you find the right readers now? Genre tells them who the book is for. Trope tells them why they’ll love it. “Enemies to lovers”? “Small-town second chance”? “Found family”? That’s your hook. That’s your targeting. When the algorithm can’t find your readers, your ad creative has to. Make your genre obvious. Make your trope irresistible. Our guided Genre and Trope workshop is available now and the live version with weekly Q/As with Mal Cooper is coming soon!

Looking forward to this. I was making an ad just now, targeting TV&Movies, and I realized Meta has removed many of my targets and has combined them into much more general categories, making it more difficult to drill down.
