A lady came up for prayer today at church. She asked for prayer for her husband and i immediately discerned she felt defeated. I started to speak Faith into the situation and she started to give me reasons why the situation was bad… Notice I’m speaking that she will be victorious, that her situation will change and she’s telling me why it won’t and what her battle is… Understand the battle is not external, it’s internal. She wanted an easy prayer and to go back home and stay the same. Yet she said she wanted change? If you want change but you don’t WANT TO CHANGE, then you’re delusional. That might sound mean but it’s the truth. When you change, everything else changes. What I’ve realized is people don’t want change, change is too hard, sometimes they would rather complain. I encourage you… this is a pattern. I would tell more stories but I want to be kind on a very touchy subject. Become a person that embraces changing on the inside. This is the purpose of life. You are not a victim but a creator, your life is what you’ve made it. The people, and challenges in your life have come as gifts to sharpen you. When you change, new people and things will come for the new levels of change. Your life will not just magically change by itself. You must do something different. But for a full change, you must become someone different. How? Read your Bible daily, Pray 1 hour a day, Declare and visualize yourself as the new person, receiving the new things. Finally, faith without works is dead. Take a step of faith in the direction of the impossible each day. This in 90 days can change everything. Imagine me talking to a homeless man and he says, “I don’t want to be homeless anymore…” then I say, I know someone who is hiring. He says, “I don’t have a license.” Then I say I will pay for you to get one. I get him what he needs, then he doesn’t show up to work on time. He calls out, and he barely works… He didn’t want to change. He wanted the benefits of a different life, without becoming a different person. Without putting in the work to change.
