Watching you go through your chemo, losing your leg and on the verge off death. Not sure how I made it through.
Happy Friday the 13th!! ❤️‍🔥
@Lauren Hill and I celebrate Friday the 13th as a holiday every time it comes around , and it’s a really great story as to why, which I shared below in a quick video ⬇️⬇️⬇️ This is a direct example of the Power of what we do in this community. 🙏🏻 We don’t let the world define our existence, we take control of that Narrative and define it for ourselves… And there is no greater Skill. ❤️‍🔥 Comment below a tradition you changed the story on ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Day 15 - Writing Your Story
Yesterday, we talked about the practice of Self-Authoring, quite literally writing a new Story for your Life, or expanding upon one already established. Today, I wanted to bring this more in context with our message at Impossible Performance. As I discussed in our presentation with Future Plans, this process of Strategic Storytelling is quite literally the process of Being Impossible. When I battled Cancer, it felt like an Impossible Challenge, one I could not possibly overcome as the person I was. I had no idea where to start, no idea how to tackle it, and especially no idea how to overcome it. But what I realized along the way is I didn’t need to know the answer to any of these questions. I simply needed to understand who a Cancer Survivor was… How they might act. How they might feel. How they might think. And then my only task became to emulate those thoughts, feelings, and actions on a daily basis. This is how you build the Impossible version of yourself, by first Being Impossible in your daily habits, emulating that who you want to become... And somewhere along the way, I became a Cancer Survivor and overcame that Impossible Challenge. 🙏🏻❤️‍🔥 The same process applies to every Challenge we face.

Not sure if this applies, but I fell into a rut when my Mom passed away last October. After a few months, I decided I needed to take control of my life. I started exercising, seeing a therapist, doing acts of kindness, and basically putting myself first, with the exception of Lily, she will always come before me. After doing this for 6 months, my life has changed. I have changed as a person. My outlook on life has changed.
Day 14 - The Story We Tell Ourselves…
Today, I had the opportunity to present to Future Plans, a company dedicated to helping Kids build Hope, and subsequently reach their highest Potential in Life. I talked mostly how so much of who we are, who we become, and how we feel about ourselves is dictated by the Story we tell ourselves about ourselves. It’s a practice called “Self-Authoring,” it is an incredibly Powerful practice, and one we do continually whether we realize it or not. “I can’t do this.” “I am a runner.” “I am always late.” “I am strong.” “I am a mess.” These lines may seem simple on the surface, but they carry immense weight as they move through our Mind, to our Heart, into our Soul, and affect even our Physical body when repeated frequently enough.. Today, try a practice of simply telling yourself a new Story, or expand upon a positive one you’ve already established. If you are someone who is always late, tell yourself instead, “I am someone who is always early.” Then begin building it into belief, and watch how your Life changes. More on this Tomorrow. 🙏🏻❤️‍🔥
