Two In One - Don't Miss Out on This!
Our own @Des Dreckett and @Katya McEwen are teaming up to bring amazing value in this free session you won't want to miss! Here is what Des has to say: Ever run a live event that felt flat, even though the content was good? That makes sense, and it's not your fault. Nobody tells you that the "hop on a call and listen" format is working against you before you've said a word. People are half-watching with three other tabs open, and attention drifts no matter how strong your material is. There's a simple fix, and it's not more slides. On Tuesday 21st July, I'm hosting a live session with Katya McEwen on interactive tools. Think quizzes, worksheets, calculators and assessments that people actually use during your event, instead of passively watching it. Here's what we'll cover: I'll do a live Claude walkthrough and build a simple interactive tool from scratch, so you can see it's genuinely not complicated once you know how Katya will share her design process, show real examples of the tools she uses, and explain how they've helped grow her community We'll look at how to run these during a presentation without sending people down a rabbit hole while you're talking How one or more calls to action at the end of a quiz can lift your last-click conversions, including "book a call" links that get used even by non-members Katya is also gifting one of her interactive tools to attendees, which you can rebrand and use in your own niche. When: Tuesday 21st July, 5pm London / 12pm New York / 9am Los Angeles Where: Zoom, link shared before the session If you've ever wondered why your events get polite attendance but no momentum afterwards, this session is for you.

Please Introduce Yourself
One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! Today, I'd like to invite you to take a step back and introduce yourself to the group by answering the following questions: 1. Who are you personally? 2. Who are you professionally? 3. What is something you love doing outside of work? 4. What is something surprising about you? As you open up and make more connections, you will find that not only are people more interested in what you do, but they will also be more interested in helping you make connections with other people they know! 😉 After you introduce yourself, please scroll through the other introductions and add a comment to someone you have something in common with or would like to know more about. 😊 Please add your introduction in the comments below! ⬇️

☕ What if your Friday was guided by an ancient Maya calendar?
Every Friday, the women in my community, the 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗼, gather for a live 𝗖𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 inspired by the Cholq'ij, the sacred Maya calendar. 𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙥𝙚. The Cholq'ij is a living calendar of 20 sacred energies that has guided Maya communities for generations. Each day carries a different invitation for how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to life. ✨ Today's Maya energy asks a simple question: 𝗪𝗵𝗼, 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸? That's the essence of 𝟭𝟯 𝗧𝗼𝗷, the sacred energy of 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦, 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺, and 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦. So today, instead of asking: "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦?" We ask: "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘳? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦?" Then we sit together with ceremonial Cacao, meditation, meaningful conversation, and women from around the world. It's honestly one of my favourite hours of the week! If you've been curious about ceremonial Cacao, ancient Indigenous wisdom, or simply long for a space where you can slow down and reconnect with yourself, I'd love to welcome you. 🤎 𝗜'𝗺 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝟳-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝘀𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. Why Sam Ovens Called My Retention Rate "Exceptional" 😳
In a post in Skoolers from 2024, someone asked what a "good" retention rate is for your community. Sam Ovens gave the following statistics for churn. Churn is the opposite of retention. It is the number of paying members who leave your community: 2-9% = Amazing 10-19% = Good 20% = Average 21-30% = Bad If we translate this into retention rate, which is what is what is now reported by Skool in your settings instead of churn, it looks like this: 91-98% = Amazing 81 - 90% = Good 80% = Average 70-79% = Bad I looked at my own numbers and was confused, so I asked him for clarification. His response was that the retention rate in the CLASSIFIEDS is "exceptional!" Why exceptional? Because the retention rate is better than 100%. It is actually 105%!!! Retention is defined by Skool as "the amount of MRR revenue at the start of last month which is still active at the end of last month." In the Build Lab, my other community, the retention rate is 96%. Want to know how to improve your retention rate in your community and the #1 thing I do to ensure that my own retention rates stay high? Check out the new Standard tier of the Build Lab. We discuss this and many other factors that play a real role in making sure that your community is successful for the long term (and none of them have anything to do with flames, games, or insane MRR goals)! I'll be doing a live training at the beginning of August on my top 6 retention strategies so that you can start implementing them immediately. Oh, and there's a 38% discount if you sign up for the year - because we all know that it's going to take longer than a minute to get your community where you want it to be. 😉 Check out the Build Lab here! I can't wait to support you in creating a successful Skool community that gets meaningful results for both you AND your members!

Amazing, just established a new goal here! Hahaha Mine is "only" 100%. 🤭

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS. To learn How to Make Your Classifeds' Posts Work Harder for You, check out this masterclass by one of our moderators, @Faith Adebayo
