Self-compassion and patience
Working through the changes our bodies go through in seasons of life can be super frustrating. And, as the wise mindfulness teachers say "Resistance + Pain = Suffering." This complex hip injury I have had since February is taking so much longer to heal due to menopausal shifts in my hormones and subsequent tissue/vascular changes. And, it is what it is and I can work with it. Bit by bit, with acupuncture, PT, tweeking of my training routine, clinical nutrition, I am healing. I just wanted to share, the road may be long towards where you are wanting to go health-wise and with self-compassion, patience, and belief, it is possible. :)

I am excited to share that the rough manuscript for my veterinary wellbeing workbook is done as of today! WAHOO! This is literally been a labor of love for me this year. There will be lots of editing and formatting to come, for sure, AND today marks a milestone I have seen off in the distance for the last several years. AND, I am going to compassionately and joyously participate in the Portland Half Marathon tomorrow. Hip injury and all - going to walk when I need to and be in a state of presence and community to get through it. :)
