Are Vet Professionals Athletes?
I say "yes". I spent yesterday morning with an equine vet team, observing their unique physical and emotional demands. Veterinary athletes all around! It's akin to practicing medicine while playing in an NFL game simultaneously. The key takeaway for me was the importance of integrating a human durability program into the academic and work environments of veterinary professionals (for both large and small animals). What are your thoughts on this?

Are Vet Professionals Athletes?
Hello all, I am new here
My name is Amber, I have been in the field for 6 years in texas, I am currently in school to get my associates degree to become a licensed technician. I had wanted to be a DVM when I was a child but never thought I'd actually be able to do it. But then I discovered I could be a technician and fell in love with the profession. But sometimes to burnout get hard, mentally, emotionally, and physically. So I'm here to figure out some better ways of dealing with it and help my team out by passing them along.

Who ate too much at Thanksgiving?
Yeah, I did. It's time to tap the breaks and buckle up for the upcoming festivities. Anyone have tips on how to manage good nutrition during this time of year?

@Ashley Hopkins this is such a tough time of year. I look at the pressure to eat more like the pressure to drink more (alcohol). Just because someone else wants to go over the limit doesn't mean I need to join them. I'm happy to be "that guy" who tends to eat healthy and exercise regularly, so the people around me know what to expect from me and don't pressure me. Still, I eat more than I need and frankly even enjoy. I also make it a point to get in some high quality workouts through holidays (and on the actual holiday). The main person I'm trying to keep in mind and impress is the future Aaron. Bad decisions now mean regret later, and that's even less comfortable than overeating!
