❗️Key Takeaway below Today I had to give a short presentation at university. It was just a quick talk, but it still added another challenge to my already packed schedule. My entire weekend was basically taken up by a course I am currently doing, which cost me around 20–24 hours and made it hard to find enough time to prepare properly. I wrote out a full script because I wanted to present without cue cards and learn everything by heart. However, I quickly realized I did not have enough time for that, so yesterday afternoon I started thinking about how to use the remaining time as efficiently as possible. With strong focus and one good idea, I found a solution. I printed out my script and highlighted the most important keywords. Then I simulated my part of the presentation while reading from the text. After that, I wrote down only the keywords and did another run-through using just those. I repeated this process again and again until I reached a point where I thought: “This is good. I’ll be able to present this tomorrow.” This morning I got up early and went through my part three more times. Then it was time. I stepped in front of the (small) audience and delivered my section. I barely had to use the cards in my hand and still managed to say all the important things I wanted to share. I am genuinely happy with how it turned out and that I managed to pull it off with so little time available. Pure focus and the will to do it properly🚀 That's one part of my "1% personal growth for the last days"🙌 ________________________________ Key Learning: If you really want to do/achieve something you'll find a way regardless. Just set yourself a goal and start working towards it. You'll figure out the rest along the way.
