@Flo Mo Excellent.. Have you been before?.. If not, you are in for a real treat

@Melvin Rijlaarsdam Most of the socialising tends to be around the stage in the "Toad Pond" (yes, real toads, welcome to Superbooth) it has a bar there and places to sit.. there are plenty of other places though as the event sprawls out into the surrounding woods.. The Alex Four village is also popular
MIDI Jitter Ableton vs Cubase
Lots of people complain that ableton isn't very stable and has way more MIDI jitter than other daw's. I just did some tests, and I have to say the difference is imperceptible. What I did. 1. Create the shortest possible noise pulse on my analog rytm. 2. Create a 16th note pattern at 120BPM for 2 minutes. 3. Record this in both DAW's with just one MIDI channel and one audio channel, no plugins. 4. The setup was entirely the same, no background processes and the same buffer size and sample rate. 5. I imported Ableton's recording back into Cubase. 6. There was an overal static offset so I manually lined it up as best as possible. 7. I recorded the audio from cubase 2 times to show variations in the recording itself. The result is practically the same. Sometimes we're just too focussed on details that nobody is ever going to hear.

MIDI jitter is something that can have so many potential causes that it can vary wildly from system to system.. To say that one DAW has more jitter than another is kinda ridiculous.. you can go to crazy lengths to have sample accurate MIDI and audio but it won’t mean you’re making better music
Inside the studio of Dutch Synth Legend: Allert Aalders
Last year Peter de Haan and I visited Dutch Synth legend Allert Aalders in his synthesizer valhalla. We created a mini documentary about Allert's incredible carreer. From performing live synth music as 'Human Beings' to designing presets for Native Instruments, Steinberg, Fabfilter, Korg, Arturia and Kilohearts to name but a few. Definitely worth a watch if you ask me :) https://youtu.be/46LCALzSIjY

What a great interview.. Allert is fantastic character and love the way he still has such passion for everything after being in the scene for so long..
Mobile Modular Case Dimensions
For all of you that travel with your Eurorack systems. What case do you use? I'm thinking about making a suitcase model, 104HP wide, 7u tall. 86hp feels a bit cramped, I think.

I have a couple of "Portable" cases.. I use the Intellijel 7u (excellent case with MIDI and audio I/O) and a 3 row(9U) x114 case with 2 internal PSUs(1 IEC Mains) Smaller cases can work well when trying to learn a new module or forcing yourself to work with a limited number of modules.. The Intellijel Palette is really good for this

@Melvin Rijlaarsdam It's just another "hole in the pocket" 😉
Adapters
I've put alot of effort in hiding all cables in my studio. It's great untill you need to move stuff around. I'm too lazy for that so I just buy new wallwart adapters each time 😅 Universal adapters work well though, as long as I don't lose those pesky barrel connectors. 😄

I'm gradually moving all my wall wart powered devices over to MyVolts connectors so I can power them all from USB-C bricks or Powered hub.. https://myvolts.co.uk/section/2/1/myvolts_power_products

@Melvin Rijlaarsdam Myvolts Make a "Superhub" https://myvolts.com/silentalchemist The other big advantage with USB-C is that it makes most things portable and powerable by battery banks :)
