@Thorsten Willuhn wow, incredible, what a collection! The mutable stuff is incredible, it's a shame they had to stop production. I like the multi-case setup, dedicating a case per function, drums, effects utilities etc. Great to have you in this group :)

@Jacek Śleszyński good to have you here 👋
What was the first synth you ever owned? #throwbackthursday
I'm curious, what synth did you start out with? Mine was the Waldorf Blofeld which my dad bought for my 16th birthday. I replaced the screen and encoders, but other than that it works perfectly fine to this day.

🎹 Hybrid Recording Workflow Lesson
Hey all, I've just added a new lesson to the Hardware Fundamentals course, which you can find under the 'Classroom' section. Or by clicking on the hashtag below this post. In this topic I'll cover the 'overdubbing' workflow. A good technique when you're new to hybrid production. In this video you'll also learn how to 'comp' different takes into one master take in Ableton Live 12. #Hybrid Recording Workflow

Patchbay labeling
A quick tip for labeling patchbays. There's a program called Patchcad, which is incredible for labeling patchbays, breakout boxes and the likes. A lot easier than fiddling around with excel sheets. You can use sticker paper or visit a print shop and stick them on your gear. It looks way more professional than hand written labels, and is easier to read too, especially with color coding. https://www.patchcad.com/

Live Performance Mixers
I've recorded this video in October, but I've been so busy it took me forever to finish it. But here's my take on the Mackie 1604 VLZ4 Pro analog mixer and why you may want to use one for live performances. Thanks to @Peter de Haan for letting me use his eurorack effectsbox 😁

@René Kasbergen haha yes it is kinda heavy, if I would work only with modular I wouldn't bring it, but I often use an Analog Rytm, Digitakt, one or two synths and some guitar pedals so I need a bit more inputs. With some custom cables and a good case it wouldn't take that long to setup. The golden master is great! Julia Bondar used it in her setup, especially the multi-band option is useful to control the low-end.

@Thorsten Willuhn those rack mixers are great, especially as submixer. Drumcomputers take up way too much channels. I don't think there are many manufacturers that still make smaller form factor mixers like these.
