Question on Relaunching Channel
I've had some success with my YouTube shorts channel. But I think it can do a lot better, so I'm relaunching the channel with a fresh batch of 10 videos, following Simon's guidelines. Should I start over and place the 10 videos "live" this coming Friday or the following Monday? Also, should I schedule them according to my local time (Colorado, USA) or according to East Coast time (New York, USA)?

🔥 Great question Edgar, here’s the optimal way to relaunch your Shorts channel for maximum traction: One: Relaunch on Monday, not Friday. Friday–Sunday are inconsistent viewer days. Monday gives YouTube a clean “fresh week” signal and the highest overall watchtime density. Your first ten videos become your new baseline, so you want the algorithm seeing them during a strong traffic window. Two: Schedule your uploads in your own time zone (Colorado). YouTube looks at: - The audience you naturally attract - When your viewers are active - The consistency of your posting pattern Running everything on East Coast time won’t help the algorithm, it will still classify you by your creator territory and early-viewer behaviour. Three: Don’t drop all ten videos at once. For a relaunch, do this instead: ✅ Day 1 (Monday): Post 2 videos: AM + PM This gives YouTube two strong signals and lets it test which concept hooks hardest. ✅ Days 2–5: Post 1 video per day Slow-drip creates momentum and keeps watch history fresh. 🔥 Reason: YouTube Shorts tests every video with micro-audiences. Spacing them out gives each upload its own test cycle instead of competing with your own content. Four: Make sure the first upload is your “highest confidence” clip. Your relaunch video sets the tone. If it hooks, the next few videos get a ranking boost automatically. Hope that helps my man! 🎯

🎧 AUDIO IDEAS TO BOOST RETENTION — Sound is 50% of Virality
Reality check: 40% of people watch with sound OFF. But the 60% who have it ON are 3x more likely to share if the audio hits right. Your audio should match ONE of these moods: 😱 SUSPENSE / TENSION Use for: Chaos, WTF, horror Vibe: Building dread, something's about to happen Examples: - Ticking clock - Heartbeat sound - Low rumble building - Violin screech - Suspense sting 😂 COMEDY / GOOFY Use for: Memes, animals, fails Vibe: Lighthearted, cartoon-like Examples: - Boing sound effects - Slide whistle - Circus music - Kazoo - Looney Tunes vibes 🥺 CUTE / WHOLESOME Use for: Animals, kids, heartwarming Vibe: Soft, warm, makes you go "awww" Examples: - Gentle piano - Music box - Ukulele - Light bells - Soft strings 🤯 WTF / CHAOS Use for: Unexpected, pattern interrupts Vibe: Jarring, attention-grabbing Examples: - Record scratch - Airhorn - Dramatic sting - Glass shatter - Vine boom 🎭 POV / IMMERSIVE Use for: First-person, storytelling Vibe: You're THERE Examples: - Footsteps - Breathing - Ambient room tone - Muffled voices - Environmental sounds 💔 EMOTIONAL Use for: Heartfelt, nostalgic Vibe: Makes you feel something Examples: - Slow piano - Emotional strings - Soft vocal hums - Acoustic guitar - Rain sounds 🕹️ RETRO / ARCADE Use for: Gaming, nostalgia, tech Vibe: 8-bit, throwback Examples: - Chiptune - Coin sound - Power-up noise - Level complete - Game over 🎬 CINEMATIC / EPIC Use for: Dramatic, sci-fi, big moments Vibe: Movie trailer energy Examples: - Orchestral swell - Dramatic drums - Epic horns - Rising tension - Big finale 🔊 PRO TIPS: 1. Test layering sounds: Background music + SFX = depth 2. Use silence: Sometimes NO sound for 2 seconds = tension 3. Sync to action: Sound should hit EXACTLY when thing happens 4. Test on mute: If video works without sound, you're golden 💬 COMMENT: AMSR style videos are always HOT.
